I was excited to get use this system. It comes with a body pack and lavalier mike, wireless handheld mike and dual receiver. I purchased an extra body pack and lavalier for flexibility. The lavalier mikes work great, although occasionally each one would completely drop out, a problem that I had planned to troubleshoot (whether a wire issue or connector issue). But because the handheld microphone's performance is so poor I had to return the entire system and look for a different manufacturer (since a wireless handheld is important for me). Your results may vary, but the wireless handheld would barely produce a sound at the receiver and camera unless the mike was pressed against the lips. At 2" from the lips, it showed zero volume bars on the mike's display and produced a recorded -39dB (Canon XF305 about 15 feet away, processed by PPCC), at 1" it showed 0 to 1 volume bars and produced a recorded -21dB, and when pressed against the lips it showed 3 to 4 volume bars and produced a recorded -3dB. Azden indicated that these results were not wildly out of sync with the typical performance of the microphone. For my needs, a microphone that has to be pressed against the lips will not work. It's a shame, because I was very happy with the lavaliers.
