These condenser microphones are meticulously designed with supercardioid and hypercardioid polar patterns respectively, ensuring precise sound capture from the intended direction while minimizing unwanted noise. Each SGM-3500 and SGM-3500L microphone boasts a wide frequency response and ultra-low noise levels, delivering crystal clear audio for all your broadcasting needs. Prior to leaving the factory, every microphone undergoes rigorous testing and is accompanied by a unique frequency response chart, guaranteeing consistent, high-quality performance.Equipped with a balanced 3-pin XLR output, these microphones are compatible with standard XLR microphone inputs. The output contacts are gold-plated, ensuring optimal connectivity and resistance to corrosion. You can connect these microphones to other equipment using any standard, balanced XLR microphone cable (sold separately).The SGM-3500 and SGM-3500L microphones operate on phantom power, a DC voltage supplied through a balanced microphone cable. This power is essential for the functioning of the microphone's electronics. Most professional cameras, mixers, and audio interfaces with microphone XLR preamps can supply this phantom power. If your equipment cannot, an external phantom power supply will be necessary. Ideally, the phantom power should be supplied at 48 V for optimal performance of these microphones. They can operate on a voltage between 44 and 52 V, but performance may degrade with lower voltages and damage could occur with voltages exceeding this range. Included with each microphone is a clip designed to fit either the SGM-3500 or SGM-3500L snugly. The clip features a 5/8" threaded hole on the bottom, compatible with USA standard microphone boom poles. A thread adapter is also included for fitting to boom poles with a 3/8" thread European standard pole. The clip can articulate to adjust for the proper angle when booming.In adhering to Azden's highest engineering and performance standards, the SGM-3500 and SGM-3500L Hypercardioid Broadcast Shotgun Microphones meet the demands of even the most discerning audio and video professionals.
