great for a gimmick

Not meant to be a digital camera and for the price cant expect much more than it is. If you have a gadget fetish then it is a great gift pic quality may not be the best but then what 5 mega pixel camera has great pics... you want shots like a pro buy a camera that a pro would use.. I would say for the price and what it is you cant go wrong just dont expect too much.

Manual says 3 megapixels.

I found this unit to be just totally unusable. The driver would not load so I had to open the manual via Adobe Acrobat and load the pictures via a SD card reader into Photoshop instead. Beware that the manual clearly says the 5 megapixel unit is 3 megapixels interpolated to 5. I found the picture quality abysmal and not at all comparable to a decent digital camera, with poor dynamic range and much movement artifact. I would stick to a decent digicam with a telephoto lens instead. Flying cars are equally successful, it appears.
