My favorite B+W film. The shadows always come out so nicely on medium format!

Beautiful film when shot and developed properly - does not respond well to underexposure, but when it?s right, it?s really terrific. Great detail and contrast right from the get-go.

Bergger Pancro 400 & Ilford HP5 are my GoTo films for MF and large format use, up to 11x14 size. These films allow for tonal control based on processing and printing needs. Great latitude and the ability to manipulate contrast for UV platinum printing. These films are very responsive to all forms of Pyro processing and non-staining developers—D-76, Rodinal, HC110, Xtol, BER49, BERSPEED. HP-5 has a great deal of push capability and grit, Bergger bias on exceptional gradation, excellent pulling capability.

Excellent grain structure, its like you can see the grain but cant. Sharp accutance. Nice tones and good latitude. Develops well in HC-110/8.5mins 1 min interval agitation. I use it for landscapes with a mamiya c220. Also good for street photography

Panchro 400 is one of the most beautiful films out there. It has a very long scale of tones, and it can handle the most contrasty scenes with ease. This film reminds me that film technology still has a solid place in the world of photography. Bergger Panchro 400 sees the world in a way that digital technology can only mimic.

Bergger Pancro 400 is a photographic black and white, high speed and fine grain film. Exposed at ISO 400, it delivers premium quality pictures. Bergger Pancro 400 is a two emulsion film, composed with silver bromide and silver iodide. They differ by the size of their grain. These properties allow a wide exposure latitude. Cristals are precipitated by double-jet process, under the control of a computer. The two emulsions are panchromatic and are stabilized by high tech systems.
Bergger Pancro 400 in sheets is coated on a 175 microns PET base. It is designed with an undercoated anti-halation layer which clarifies during processing and a anti-curling layer.
