I've got several of these on my Gopros. I wanted a regular tripod mount, but most importantly, easy access to the batteries. They've got a small footprint, and the connection is sturdy enough for not-too-much-action use (I'd go with a regular Gopro cage mount if I were to strap it onto a Baja 1000 racer).
Our Sidekick accessory simply replaces the side door of the Hero5 Black and provides one standard 1/4" - 20 tripod mounting point. It's fully compatible with the stock GoPro Hero5 Black as well as Ribcage H5M12 / H5PRO. Now you can connect your cameras to professional mounts while enjoying easy access to the side ports, battery and SD card.
