As a Broncolor studio, I never hesitate choosing Broncolor when I add new lights. Quality is top notch. Controlling the lights from the BronControl app is essential for my work along with the non-wavering consistent white balance of the flash tubes.

(if I could I would rate it 4 1/2 stars) I recently purchased the Siros 800s Pro kit. I have read the good and the bad reviews and felt like the good out weighed the bad. I am very glad I did. I received my lights and instantly set them up. this is where they loose a 1/2 star. the password for the wi-fi is no where in the packaging (its " bronControl " with a little b and big C i had to find it on line) but once set up these lights are amazing. I put them through the paces with a model i know likes to move quickly and the lights kept up beautifully. Firing as fast as I could shoot and every shot was crystal clear with the fast flash duration. Changing the settings is so very easy using the broncontrol app. It spoils me. As I can only afford 3 of these for now I some times have to use my Einsteins as well (also great lights) but having to go back to the cyber commander to change settings is night and day. Not to mention heavy light modifiers (i.e. 28 in beauty dish) stay securely on the Siros where I have had issues with heavier modifiers falling off my Einsteins. The 2 soft boxes that come with the kit are easily put together and the bag with wheels feels solid. (I don't use the stands with the kits as I prefer C stands especially with the heavier lights) I look forward to when I can buy another 3 or 4 and get rid of my other lights so I can control them all from the one app. I have now had a chance to test out the reputed short flash duration. I must say I am impressed. Shooting Water splashes resulted in crystal clear frozen action. (My Einsteins preformed well in the same test but Siros clearly one out) I have heard about color inconstancies I have not had that issue so I can not speak to it. I recommend these lights fully. They are amazing if you can afford them. If not Einsteins are the way to go as they are also great lights for the money and Paul C buff has the best costumer service bar none. I must say I am happy to be Bron.

Just to clarify, I got this kit from another dealer but the same product. I was very disappointed from Siros 800s performance! From power setting 2 to 5 I got noticeable flash output fluctuation and it got better as power went up to 9. I mainly got interested in Siros 800s because of its specifications and ability to lower the power to be able to shoot at f=2.8 but it was not the case and exposure changed with every other shot! First I thought it was something wrong with my camera but after trying the same setting with three different bodies I was sure that it was Siros 800s (both heads). The other thing I noticed was these two flash heads had two different color temperatures especially at the lower power settings! that also bummed me out for a kit at this price range. Where is quality control?? Other thing that bothered me was the very loud fan noise (deafening), even louder the Profoto D1. Remote control RFS 2.1 was not very impressive but it did its job. Broncolor App was iffy at times like standby button was not responding to touch, the whole App would freeze or when I touched test button sometimes flash heads fired in a delayed sequence rather than simultaneously. (iPad mini gen4) I called Hasselblad-Bron tech support and I was even more surprised to how bad they were!! Pretty much support does not exist or maybe they don’t like little companies like mine! Zero star for Bron tech support!! As for built quality it is built like a tank and these heads are heavy. The box is odd size, weighs about 45lbs. If your kit was not up to par and you decide to return it, you are looking at $$$ to pay for shipping. I really wanted this kit to work for me but lack of performance caused me to return the kit.

The Broncolor 3 light kit is incredible. I'm amazed by the 8 stops of light range that it has. As soon as you unbox the kit, you feel like a real pro photographer. And the App is such a cool way to control your setup.
