Bencher Copystand VP400 & Quartz Halogen Floor Illuma System.

The VP400 Copysystem from Bencher - the ultimate in HEAVY DUTY PERFORMANCE. Ideal for heavy video and large format still cameras, the five foot extruded aluminum column easily supports cameras weighing up to 40 pounds. Exceptional stability is maintained as the extruded camera carriage travels along the column, supported by eight Nylatron rollers.

Easy and precise camera positioning is assured by adjustable counterbalancing, rack & pinion drive, & firm support of the oversized (7x10") camera plate by four machined steel shafts. Dual mounting screws, both 3/8" & 1/4", provide for camera safety & stability.

The exclusive dual brake pads offer secure, non-shift braking to lock the carriage in any position. The VP400 is available in a variety of popular configurations, or build your own system using Bencher's complete line of modular components.

VP400 Copysystems feature flicker-free quartz halogen lights for both side lighting and base illumination. Each compact 300 watt sidelight uses an exclusive reflector design to evenly flood the baseboard with consistent 3200K color balanced illumination.

The 600 watt base illuminator is precisely balanced to the sidelights by using a lamp with identical 3200K characteristics. Even illumination across the 16x16" aperture is provided utilizing a single light source with a protecting whisper quite fan for cooling temperatures. Sidelights mount on rigid support arms that pivot through a 90 arc with built-in 45 indexes. Light to baseboard distance is easily adjusted to maximize lighting efficiency. Light controls allow the user to reduce light intensity when composing and focusing, thereby reducing both heat & energy expense while protecting delicate originals.

The VP400's glare resistant black steel baseboard eliminates warping problems associated with composition baseboards, & allows the use of magnetic holdown strips. The 25" x 25" working area features practical document markings for easy material positioning.

While a Producer model of the VP400 is available in a basic Tabletop configuration without base illuminator, this version the VP400 Quartz Halogen Floor Illuma Producer Copysystem is the ultimate system for flexible full service facility. Built into the steel baseboard is a 16" x 16" quartz halogen base illuminator for copying transparencies, gels, overheads, etc. Lighting across the base illuminator is exceptionally even.

The Illuma Copysystem includes a full complement of sidelights & controls. Switching from sidelights to base illumination is quickly accomplished from the baseboard control panel. Hi/low switching is available for both lighting systemsto keep the workplace cool & comfortable.

Adjustable legs allow the work surface to be positioned between 18 & 30 inches above the floor, providing comfortable camera viewing heights
