HEAVY DUTY PERFORMANCE...The VP400 Copysystem from Bencher - the ultimate in heavy duty performance. Ideal for heavy video and large format still cameras, the five foot extruded aluminum column easily supports cameras weighing up to 40 pounds. Exceptional stability is maintained as the extruded camera carriage travels along the column, supported by eight Nylatron rollers.

Easy and precise camera positioning is assured by adjustable counterbalancing, rack & pinion drive, and firm support of the oversized (7" x 10") camera plate by four machined steel shafts. Dual mounting screws, both 3/8" and 1/4", provide for camera safety and stability.

Bencher's exclusive dual brake pads offer secure, non-shift braking to lock the carriage in any position. The VP400 is available in a variety of popular configurations, or build your own system using Bencher's complete line of modular components.

PRECISE, BALANCED ILLUMINATION... VP400 Copysystems feature flicker-free quartz halogen lights for even and smooth illumination. Each compact 300 watt sidelight uses an exclusive reflector design to evenly flood the baseboard with consistent 3200K color balanced illumination.

Sidelights mount on rigid support arms that pivot through a 90 arc with built-in 45 indexes. Light to baseboard distance is easily adjusted to maximize lighting efficiency. Light controls allow the user to reduce light intensity when composing and focusing, thereby reducing both h eat and energy expense while protecting delicate originals.

STEEL BASEBOARD: The VP400's glare resistant black steel baseboard eliminates warping problems associated with composition baseboards, and allows the use of magnetic holdown strips. The 25" x 25" working area features practical document markings for easy material positioning.

The Producer Copysystem includes 5 foot column, carriage, steel baseboard, four sidelights, sidelight arms and sidelight control. This popular package is ready to work as soon as your camera is attached.

(A Producer model is available in a Floor Illuma configuration, with a 16" x 16" quartz halogen base illuminator built into the steel baseboard for copying transparencies, gels, overheads, etc)

Please Note: VP400 Copysystems are available with an Optional (not included in this package) Motorized Drive for convenient, precise carriage movement. Movement is controlled by a single rocker switch located on the control panel, or a remote control device can be connected to a conveniently located jack.
