For the price, you cannot go wrong with this backdrop. The size, portability, color choice, make this a must have item. Awesome for headshots and even 3/4 length portraits. Highly recommend!

A good first backdrop but the case is terrible quality. No matter how hard I tried to squish this seven foot tall monster into its bag it was practically impossible. When I finally got it inside the zipper popped off and now the case won't close at all! Adorama refunded me so I'm happy for now. I may ditch collapsible backdrops until they make a bigger, and better quality, case.

I'm very satisfied with this backdrop! It's so much easier to set up and use than one you have to drape over a crossbar and clamp. It's just the right combination of texture and color. When using other backdrops (not collapsible) you have to deal with wrinkles. Not so with this guy! Pop it out of its bag and hang it on a light stand and you're good to go!

This backdrop has come in handy as a backdrop for many interviews and product placements. It is large enough for single person mid-range to closeup on camera interviews. Dynamic texture for product and can easily be selected and color corrected if needed.

The collapsible background is everything it says it is, and I am completely satisfied with it. However, folding the background for storage is almost impossible for me at 5'4". Yes, I have watched many good how-to videos, but I think there is something to be said for breaking it in to get it to cooperate. Lastly, I was so happy it came with a cover, but frustrated when the zipper detached after ONE use. Too bad, or I would have given it five stars. Now to find a quality cover for this sized background to protect my investment, as I am a location / mobile photographer.

You will obviously need some kind of holder or be able to hang (I do both) but the drape does everything you want it to do. You'll get great pictures and alot of compliments too. I'll soon buy another one in a different hue.

For the price I think it is a good value. However it came with vertical cracks that look really bad all over both sides. It was usable but not without a lot of digital processing on the raw image ( to much work). I can still use it but I had to repaint it, to get out the cracks. I like the idea of a portable BG and the price is a cheap way to try it. I also had the bowing problem. I solved that by attaching it to a rolling hanger stand with clips.

The description said one side is "Dark Gray/Light Gray," but the photo clearly showed it was blue. Taking a chance that the description was more accurate than the photo, I ordered one. The "gray" side is definitely blue. It's as blue as blue can be. The photo is more accurate than the description in this case. I suppose if you are shooting black and white it will come out as dark gray/light gray or if you have a certain amount of color blindness. For the rest of us, it's blue. The other side was brown-ish, but my sample has a lot more mustard yellow than anything else. Now I'm stuck trying to decide if it's worth the hassle and expense of sending it back.

Purchase this item for a portable studio for head and shoulder shots. Works really well. Folding is easy once you learn how to make it collapse correctly. The colors are awesome for head and shoulder shots and has a professional appearance. By placing the item at least 4 to 6 feet behind the subject, it appears completely out of focus and the Bokeh is nice. I would recommend to a friend and buy again.

This Flashpoint screen is a big bang for the buck. Almost as good as more expensive units. Very easy to open and easy to fold back up. I recommend you watch u Tube how to fold it, if you need a background screen like this is new to you. !

A great portable backdrop. Have used both sides for portrait sessions and they look great. Due to its size it is easy to control brightness by changing distance to subject. Two minor problems: 1. one small discolored spot which a colored felt marker took care of. 2. The zipper on the bag needs a better stopper to keep it from sliding off the open end of the zipper. Oh, and getting use to the taco fold prove challenging to this klutz :-) Highly recommended!

Not having to lug around a conventional background makes for a quick portrait shoot set up. The dual colors are convenient for variety. Also makes an ideal backdrop for video conferencing. However, the material surrounding the metal frame could be a bit beefier as it seems like the constant gripping from a reflector clip could eventually wear through the thin stretchy fabric. As others have mentioned, background does have a bit of a twist when suspended, but the effects of this will probably never show up in a head or three quarter shot. Ideal for its intended application. Recommended!!!

Any collapsible background is going to be difficult to get back into the carrying case. For the price this one can't be beat. Having a dark and light side makes this one very versatile.

the rectangular frame is stronger than other Flashpoint products and therefore folds easier, one person can do it and set-ups with less twisting. Colours are nice, but surface will flake. use of a backdrop frame with clamps is essential.

Ok, Great value for the price. I picked this over white/ black for the varied colors on it. Plus it's real canvas, not vinyl. A little old school, but makes some nice images. I used a slave sitting on the floor behind the subject, shining at the BG at about 60-70 degrees, to create a lighter oval behind the subject. Subject was about 3 feet in front of it. Not hard to refold once you watch the YT vid. I think it will be quite handy to own.

Have always been pleasantly surprised by the good quality of Flashpoint products I've purchased in the past relative to the price. In this case perhaps I got about what might be expected or less. Loop strap on cover immediately ripped first time I held it; Background remains twisted when hung and there are small dings and flaws in the fabric (probably won't show up in shallow DOF images, but disconcerting).

This is product is consistent in quality with those offered my Lastolite and Westcott. When shooting in tight spaces and have the limited ability to put up w 10' x 12' background this does the trick. If you are looking for something to shoot head and shoulder shots or if you have a couple of small group. When you really want it to pop, use a small low power flash or strobe to pop the background and you have a truly professional result. What I like best about it is that it is reversible and it doesn't matter if I am shooting light haired or dark haired clients, it have a product that will work. I received a gift of a lightweight reflector stand a couple of years ago as a present and had never taken it out of the box until I got this background. The stand is the perfect companion and in total the carry weight for both items is under 10lbs. You and setup and teardown in less than 2 minutes and if you are lucky enough to have an assistant, your assistant can set it up while you are taking your light readings for the shoot or vice versa. Some of you will complain that you aren't able to get it back into the carry case. Wake up people, go to YouTube and watch the video on folding a collapsible background or reflector and see if you can find a piece of cheese to go with that wine. Excellent product at an awesome price. Would I recommend to a friend? Without a doubt!
