Sturdy, dependable
After initial tension adjustment, lever locks have held legs firmly. Would like to have a split center column to get down very low. There is a short column available, but it's fairly expensive and would require transferring ball head. Would like foam padding on all three legs (or at least two) This is a solid performing tool that I enjoy using. Quality and thoughtful general design and build.

Being my first carbon fiber tripod, I can't compare and contrast, but I enjoy using it as it is stable and the leg locks work well. The leg lock tension can be adjusted, if necessary, with the included wrench. Although I haven't used it, I like the little hook to weight it down in a wind. Altough I can never remember to look at it, the little built-in level is a nice touch.
Although common of tripods, I wish it had a two pc. center column so that it would go down really low. There is a short column available in either alum. or cf. It comes with a set of spikes to replace the rubber feet when conditions warrant. Altough the foam carrier padding is appreciated, it is only on one leg, which is not a big deal.

Excellent Price/Value Ratio
Minor quibble: Although comes with tool kit, had to add 7mm wrench to adjust leg locks.
My first carbon tripod and it seems fine. In use, I don't notice any bothersome quirks setting up, using or taking down.
Had to get used to separate rubber and spike feet compared to compact tripods with combo feet.
A two pc. center column would have been nice. The available short column is rather expensive, and necessitates a separate mounting plate.
