ph-08 tripod adapter
this adapter is user to mont my 500mm lens to my benro tripod. all is good as i have only used it a couple of times. it mounts to the tripod securely and keeps the lens and tripod steady in the wind.

Nice product - but not what I needed
This product is well made. The attachment screw with the slotted head and fold-down loop makes for easy field installation without speciallized tools. HOWEVER: I made an error in purchasing this item. Based on the photo, I assumed the dovetail mount would work with my arca-swiss style head. Note there is very little information on the size of this piece in the description. In fact, this piece is much too large to fit into the dovetail receptical of my mount, and there is no way to modify it for use. My recommendation is to read the title carefully, and buy this piece if your equipment is indicated.

Well made - but not what I needed
This mount is sturdy and easy to install on a camera body. The design of the screw makes for easy field mounting and removal. Unfortunately for me, I assumed the dovetail mount would work with my arca-swiss style ball head (note the description doesn't include much info on dimensions): it does not. The dovetail is much too large to fit into the arca-swiss head, and it is not able to be adapted/altered to fit. Look closely at the title to understand the equipment this unit is intended to work with.

It attaches firmly and does what it suppose to do. Expensive
