Questions & Answers

Manuel K : I just bought this Tripod and wanted to use it with my Insta 360 One X, but the thread size does not seem to match ?
Kirk P : Will this monopod work with the Ricoh Theta Z1 and NOT be visible in the images?JEAN F : This does fit the Ricoh Thetas, you just have to flip over the mounting screw, it's double sided. There is nothing in the instruction manual about it though. Use the included tool to loosen the nut.Martin M : I use this monopod for sports photography with a DSLR camera, but I can't see how it would show in images with the Ricoh Zeta Z1 since the diameter of the stock mounting plate is 2 inches at best. The monopod comes with the standard two camera mounting screw options (1/4"-20 Male, 3/8"-16 Male). Out of the box you will have the 3/8" option, but with the provided wrench you can easily change to the 1/4" screw, which should fit the Theta Z1.JESSIE M : I bought this for that reason and it does not fit Ricohs or GoPros cameras. I would assume there is an adapter, never tried to find out.
Shopper : Is it stable enough to hold a camera and 50mm lens standing alone?Steve B : I have mine paired with a Benro B3 ball head and they support my Nikon D7200 with a Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 lens unattended quite well.SUSAN G : It depends on how heavy/bulky your camera and lens combination is. I use it to help with with stabilization and to support the weight, but have the camera strap around my neck just in case. I also use it for off camera flash.CHENGLUN N : I probably wouldn't do it if I were you. Although the foot support is sturdy enough to support heavy lens, e.g., 400mm lenses and up, I still prefer holding it during photo shoots in case something happens.

Not sturdy enough

Hated it! It will not stay in the locked position at the foot. Returned and purchased the SIRUI P-424FL Monopod. Way better build quality.

Great Monopod!

Needed a pod that could get close to a wall yet sit on a dresser, table etc. This fits the bill! Easy to use, stable with speed light on any surface so far.

Affordable, sturdy monopod

I purchased this monopod primarily for use with a Ricoh Theta 360 degree camera. The monopod works great with this camera -- it is so sturdy it seems like overkill with the the tiny Ricoh camera. The 3 leg locking base creates a stable platform for mounting the camera in a level position at up to 5 foot height. Much more affordable than the monopod that Ricoh sells as an accessory!

Benro Monopod with feet

This is the second Benro monopod I have bought. The first one was stollen. It is sturdy enough and light enough that I can carry it when hiking. I mostly use it with my 55-200 mm lens.

Hard to beat at twice the price.

Basic, well built, sturdy, albeit not very compact monopod suitable for large telephoto lenses. Excellent value.

A great monopod with Benro S4

I bought the S4 video head initially and just got around to getting this monopod. I'm glad that I went with the flip-lock mechanism (opposed to the twist-lock) as it's much easier to use. I carry this with me anywhere as it's light/mobile.

Great, light but sturdy monopod

The monopod is remarkably light for the weight it can carry. The feet may be useful for parking the monopod, but the amount of movement they allow may be better than nothing, but cerrtainly not in a league with a tripod. But as a monopod, it is ideal because of its load bearing capacity but light weight.

Don't want to miss this one.

Quite possibly the best accessory I"e purchased. Lightweight, easy to use, great when you can't lug a tripod along.

Rock steady!

Very well put together. I would recommend using the s6 or s8 video head with this monopod.

Great support

This is just the monopod I have been looking for. Have had a couple others with feet that were awkward to extend and retract, not near as useful as those on the Benro. I have used it with several lens including a 150-600mm. I also like the large tabs to release the leg sections. Have already recommended it to others.

yes and maybe

does as advertised - very sturdy - not as easy to take feet on and off as implied - a little heavier than i thought it would be

Sturdy, highly functional

Reap the benefits of a monopod with the stability of a tripod using the Benro A48FD 4 Section Aluminum Monopod with 3-Leg Locking Base. Able to hold up to 44.1 lb and extend to 64.6", the A48FD is a versatile camera support thanks to its base which provides three solid points of contact with the ground. The base acts like a mini tripod and its ball joint allows you to smoothly pan and tilt your camera. If using a pan head on the monopod, the base's ball joint can be locked so that you can pan with the head independently or you can replace the base with the included rubber foot. The four leg sections are secured by flip locks and it folds down to 22" for transport.

3 Leg Folding Base
Removable 3-leg locking base with ball joint for smooth and stable shots along with reverse folding legs for compact travel.

Closed-Cell Foam Hand Grip
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your Benro monopod, also includes Hand Strap for extra security.

Quick Lock Legs with Anti-Rotation Leg System
Monopod height can easily be set by a flip of the quick lock leg levers, which combined with anti-rotation leg sections enable fast and fumble-free set-up.
