The ball becomes marred if you over tighten the tension screw, so watch out for that. The secondary pre-loading knob (or whatever the call it) is not very useful in it's adjustment range. It's more of an on or off with little finesse. Other than that, it is solid when you tighten it with whatever lens and body you can imagine mounting to it. I have some hefty gear and it will crank to hold it where I put it. 'Should be less expensive, I think. I'll spend the extra $100 and get the Arca, next time for sure, but, there is no doubt this one will last.

This little ball head not only looks good (I really like the cool blue accents) but it performs well too. I am using this with a Sony A7R III and a Sony A7 III so they are a little more weighty than the crop sensor versions. I have the following lens: Sigma 24mm 1.4 DG, Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG, Sony 24-105mm F4, and various lens that I rent. The Sigma lens are fairly heavy and the ballhead supports them without any shifting or movement. The locks work great and the plate attachment is simple. Overall I am very happy I chose Benro. Also of note, this ballhead is attached to Benro Go Plus FGP18C 4-Section Carbon Travel Tripod with Integrated Monopod, 22 Lbs Capacity, 61" Max Height which I am also super happy with. The combo works like a charm!

I like the easy adjustments on this ballhead and it can handle plenty of weight. The Arca type quick-release has a nice safety feature, so that even if you were to accidentally loosen the knob, it won't drop your camera, because it requires and extra pull & turn. This is a smart advancement that gives extra safety for your camera, yet is still a quick release!

Great ballhead. Holds a D750 w/ grip & a 400mm no problem. Smooth, lightweight, locks securely without having to torque it. Fabulous.

This is such a huge improvement over the less expensive head I own and have been using for over a year. I haven't tried it out in the field yet but it is very smooth and the knobs are very easy to operate. Well worth the money!

With 360-degree Panning, accurate panoramas can be easily orchestrated using the graduated panning scale for accurate image alignment. The Built-in Bubble Level allows adjustment to prevent uneven pans and head movements. Separate Locking and Drag Control adjustment knobs help to avoid confusion when working fast.
