NIMA S : What is the main differences between Carbon fiber and Alumenuim ?JENIFER S : Carbon fiber is also less likely to bend than aluminium if you were to put the wrong pressure on the wrong spot. Carbon fiber is more expensive than aluminum.GERALD R : I have two Linhof aluminum tripods I have had for nearly 40 years and they are great, very sturdy but of course heavy. I bought an Adorama carbon fiber Flashpoint tripod several months ago on sale and my only regret is that I didn't make such a purchase ten or more years ago. It is well made and significantly lighter than even my smaller Linhof tripod. In my opinion, carbon fiber is the only way to go. Save your money and get carbon fiber.FREDDY H : In few words.. weight. You pay for less weight and good strength (in the case of carbon fiber)

I have not used a tripod very often before but I will travel with this tripod frequently. It is light, sturdy and very easy to use.
