Best low cost lightweight tripod setup available

The sticks are great. The head is pretty good. There reason I gave 4 stars is because the fluid drag adjustment for the pan and tilt is very limited. It's not very precise or has a decent range. But for DSLR or super lightweight camcorder it's workable.

Head is a dissapointment

Recommended for the legs, but not the head. The legs are great. Sturdy and lightweight. The head on the other hand is a disappointment. The pan and tilt drag are horrible. You either set it at near max tightness or it is completely loose. I have the Benro S6 Head (without fluid drag) and it works great. I guess I should replace the S7 head with the S6 or with the S8. I have heard the S8 is just fine, but I don't have personal experience with it. It may have the same problem.

Flip leg locks
Tripod height can easily be set by a flip of the quick lock leg levers, which combined with anti-rotation legs enable fast and fumble-free set-up

65mm Flat Base head with 3/8" thread, paired with 75mm half ball adapter
The S7 is equipped with a flat base with a 3/8 thread, allowing you to mount the head separately on sliders, jibs, monopods or half ball adapters. The S7 also uses a 501/504PL compatible QR6 plate.

Independent Locks
Both the pan lock and tilt lock can be turned on or off independently and are located on the operator side of the head for easy control. Tilt range for the S7 is +90deg./-50deg.

Adjustable Leg Angles
For an extra measure of flexibility, Benro tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on irregular surface areas or at ground level.
