The CS-14 Copy Stand features an 18% gray baseboard equipped with a grid and magnetic copy hold-down bars, ensuring secure and precise placement of your subjects. The unique, adjustable camera platform is designed to facilitate the accurate alignment of the camera's optical axis over the exact center of the baseboard. This feature enhances the quality of your images and provides a professional level of precision.To further aid in copy positioning, the baseboard is adorned with multiple positioning grids, format patterns, and reference scales. This allows for easy and accurate positioning of your subjects, making the CS-14 Copy Stand a versatile tool for a range of applications.The camera platform moves seamlessly along a single, straight vertical column, assisted by a constant force, counterbalanced elevation system. This system allows for easy height adjustments, enabling you to capture images of objects as large as 24" and as close as 1/2" for macro work. With a simple turn of a knob, the camera locks securely in position at the desired height. The column is firmly anchored to the 16 x 19" baseboard at four points, and can accommodate any camera weighing up to 5 lbs. The maximum recommended copy size is 14 x 14", making the CS-14 Copy Stand a versatile and professional tool for all your photographic needs.

I combine this copy stand with a Canon T7i and a 35mm macro lens tethered to my computer with a USB cable to photograph archaeological artifacts. The height of the column and lens combination allows me to photograph objects as big as 24" and as close as 1/2" for macro work. I can also dismantle the base from the column and store it in a pelican air-case to transport to remote locations.
