Belkin USB-C Multimedia Hub/Docking Station

Shows a purple stripe on the left side of the screen when I connect my 20" Cinema Display to the hub. When connected to the HDMI port on the 14" M1 MacBook Pro the screen works perfectly. The stripe isn't part of the displayed content, so it is impossible to make a screenshot. I have tried this with other Cinema Displays and they all have the stripe when connected to the hub. Is there any way to solve this problem?

I like the belkin hub and the variety of ports it has to offer. Unfortunately, for me the hub stopped working in one of the HDMI ports. For the cost of the port I was hoping to get some extended use out of it. I had to purchase a new one and I realized that the belkin got really hot as opposed to the new brand. I wanted to love this one but it just didn't' have the durability I would have liked. I did send my belkin hub back to the company for replacement and still haven't received anything back.

Works with a MacBook Pro 14 Inch 2021 M1 Pro chip. So I am able to connect the MacBook Pro to: - a wire Ethernet cable (via the RJ45 port) - a second monitor (via the HDMI port), in addition to existing HDMI port embedded to the MacBook Pro. So in total two monitors can be connected simultaneously in extending mode to the MacBook Pro!

As all the Belkin products I've used with Apple kit, this just works. No issues with networking which is the main reason I purchased. It would be great if it could be enhanced so that if I connect my monitor through the usb c it could pass video to the monitor and receive usb and power from the monitor as usb c does when I connect directly to the monitor without this - this is a feature I assumed it wouldn't have, and is only really needed as some Mac's on have 2 USB ports.

I got this because the MacBook Air does not have any USB or HDMI ports. This hub is exactly what I needed. I can now use my flash drives and plug in to my TV and watch my videos on the big screen while still charging my MacBook.

I have been using this hub with my MacBook Air to run power in and an external monitor. It also works well with the extra ports to plug a usb or other items in. I am happy with the hub and it works well.

This is made of metal. That's good for durability, but loud on desk surfaces (especially glass). Has a nice assortment of ports, everything works as expected. Definitely one of the better hubs overall that i've used. Would be an awesome permanent solution for a desk, but is obviously good on the go too (though it can be loud sometimes.)

This is a nice portable USB-C hub that has a metal exterior so it's pretty durable. It's longer than it's wide so it fits perfectly in your hand without it being bulky. The only things that I would change is the length of the USB-C cable and putting the cable on the other side of the hub but these are minor nuances.

The setup was just as simple as plugging the hub into my laptop, followed by the automatic configuration, and the dock was ready to use. The HDMI connection was flawless, it allows me to connect an external monitor. The USB ports allow me to connect a keyboard, mouse, or any other device with an USB port. So, you basically plug it into your laptop's USB-C port to then power a variety of peripherals. It's very convenient.

Needed to upgrade the home office when I upgraded my laptop and this made it real easy to keep everything from my old system working. I didn't take into consideration when I upgraded my MacBook Pro that it was USB C an this saved my life.

I wanted this for my TV because I'm tired of unplugging things for other things. The cord is not long enough to do that with. It's very small. There is a place to put a thumb drive, USB, and SD card. It used more for a computer. The directions aren't very clear either.

I am so happy with this hub! It takes care of all of my needs! This hub allows me to connect my laptop to a projector for presentations, while also having an sd card attached. There are other choices for connection, such as the USC-C and USC-A and HDMI.

The Belkin Multimedia Hub is great. It allows me to charge multiple devices at once while I'm on my computer or laptop. I also can view my laptop screen onto the monitor for a bigger picture. It is small, sleek and keeps things organized. I got my dad one and he loves it, too!

The Belkin usb-c multimedia hub is a quality built device. Because of its weight, I recommend laying it on a flat surface while its connected to any other devices. It worked well with my flash drive viewing photos. I also connected my Tivo stream 4K and ethernet cable through the Belkin usb-c hub and it worked great! I am going to get a lot of use from this!

This multimedia hub works great! It's versatile in components and compact in size. Works wonderfully for all of my needs. It's definitely a go to hub to bring while traveling. Works perfect for my iPad, laptop and other electronics on the go.

Kids these days seem to have a ton of electronics and my 11-year-old daughter is one of them. She loves that she can attach this to her computer, her laptop, her cell phone, her tablet etc. This definitely comes in handy and if she ever gives it back to me I will definitely put it to good use!

I am not the tec savvy member of the family but my husband informed me that we needed a multimedia hub. This multimedia hub seems to fit our needs. It is easy to use. So far it seem to be work really well.

Unboxing: When you open the box the first thing that caught my attention was?the very confusing method of getting the hub out of the box. The cable was intertwined in the cardboard, which was taped into together in many places for seemingly no reason (maybe to prevent theft?). The information card was the same. This could be much better designed, even just a foam insert and the hub tucked in. Quality: Once I was able to get the hub out, the actual first thing you notice is how solid it is. The hub has a premium feel to it and seems well put together. The cable is permanently attached to the unit and feels very sturdy as well. One suggestion I'd have here obviously is that the design could have been streamlined a bit so the cable could be tucked around or so that the cable could be removed. Because the unit is so small, you could easily throw it in a backpack or your pocket, or even a purse, but that cable is going to see its wear during travel. Performance: The Hub was immediately recognized by my laptop. It accepted connections quickly and didn't slow down one bit when connecting multiple Input devices (keyboard, mouse, Xbox One Controller Adapter). HDMI performed perfectly, 4K video came straight through, with no issues. The Gigabit Ethernet connection performed great. It saw a 7MS Ping with a 952mbps download and a 35mbps upload with no issues. I played a few games using the hub onto an external monitor. It did not handle 4K through gaming that well, though I would not have expected this, it did handle 1080p perfectly (FPS and Racing games worked perfect in this resolution). I honestly was not expecting it to do so well, as there are higher priced and bulkier docks on the market that don't handle this at all. Extra Info: I also used this hub plugged directly into the USB-C connection of my Android Phone. It automatically recognized it and displayed the Android Desktop on my monitor. It also took the connection for the keyboard and mouse and my file explorer app on my phone immediately recognized the external drive plugged into it. I know few would think to use it this way, but it worked as I intended it to. I was able to open my office apps, view photos and run all my android apps perfectly this way on my monitor. It has even given me some ideas for automation or car tech. Overall: This device worked as intended. I'd be more impressed if the cable could tuck away somehow. The hub got warm and did heat up more, but it never got "hot". I think its great the SD Slot is on here, but I don't think its necessary. Most laptops come with this and its not intrusive so people can usually just plug their SD card into their laptop. I would have liked to see another USB port here instead and/or a headphone jack. Though that's personal preference. They could have used a MicroSD and an extra USB port here instead also. The performance overall exceeded my expectations when connecting a secondary monitor and used for gaming (which it is not intended for or advertised for and probably shouldn't be used over the direct HDMI port on your laptop). This was a pleasant surprise. It performs all the intended functions well and easily.

This USB-C? Multimedia Hub is a nice edition to my computer set up. It is so nice to have extra ports to use now. Set up was as simple as plugging it in. It is a small unit and doesn't take up much room in my desk. I love it.

One of the best hubs you can get, but there's one issue. The cable that connects to the PC feels "unsecure". What I mean by that is, the cable doesn't feel that it'll last a long time, if you're constantly plugging in and out to your machine.

The USB-C Multimedia Hub is a very useful product, especially with newer small laptops that don't have many options to plug devices into it. So this device allows me to charge, and connect to my computer, multiple devices at the same time. Works beautifully. Only one point to keep in mind is that when you leave it plugged in for a while, it gets quite warm. I did not compare it to other similar devices, so it may be the same or better to others. Overall a great product!

This multimedia hub is just flat out awesome. It's so nice to be able to leave this hub at my desk, and connected to my laptop when I return from a meeting or from the field. It houses every connection that I need!

The Belkin USB-C is a great device because I needed to get away from multiple cables and it includes everything I need (HDMI, 2 USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, Ethernet, and USB-C for power only). Two things I would like to have seen on this, the first is the max wattage supported on the power was 60W and most laptops I work with use 65W and a card reader that reads multiple card types instead of just SD cards. Other than that its great! You can also plug it into your phone and use a usb stick and/or SD card (I verified this using my Pixel 3).
