The Behringer SC-U StageConnect Interface Bridge is for engineers linking live sound systems with computers and personal monitoring. It works as a three-way bridge between StageConnect networks, multi-channel USB audio, and Behringer Ultranet systems such as the P16 range. This makes it easier to share audio between front of house, monitors, and a computer without complicated routing. Built-in asynchronous sample rate conversion allows systems running on different clocks to connect cleanly, keeping audio stable and predictable.
StageConnect audio runs over standard 3-pin XLR mic or DMX cables, helping keep cabling familiar on stage. USB audio and MIDI support make recording, playback, and control straightforward. Housed in a compact, DI-sized metal enclosure with an included power supply, the SC-U fits neatly into touring, installed, or studio setups.
Connect systems without hassle
The SC-U is designed to sit between audio systems that don't naturally work together. It links StageConnect, USB audio, and Ultranet in one compact unit, reducing the need for extra interfaces. This is useful when front of house, monitoring, and computer playback all need access to the same signals. By centralizing these connections, the SC-U helps keep your setup cleaner and easier to manage.
Low-latency audio for live use
Supporting up to 32 channels of bidirectional StageConnect audio, the SC-U keeps latency low enough for live monitoring and time-critical signals. Audio is sent over standard 3-pin XLR mic or DMX cables, so there's no need for specialist wiring. This makes it easy to integrate into existing stage looms while still benefiting from digital audio distribution.
Stable audio across different clocks
Digital systems often run at different sample rates, which can cause problems when connected directly. The SC-U uses asynchronous sample rate conversion to allow each system to run independently while sharing audio. This keeps signals clean and avoids clicks or dropouts, helping shows run smoothly without manual clock configuration.
USB audio and MIDI in one box
The SC-U appears as a multi-channel USB audio interface when connected to a computer, making recording and playback simple. It also sends MIDI data between the computer and the StageConnect network, which is useful for show control or software instruments. Combined with host and client ports, it supports both small rigs and expandable systems.
