Belkin BE108000-08-CM 8-Outlet Surge Protector

One of the most important surge protection parameters is the "voltage protection rating (VPR)" or "clamping voltage". On Belkin's web site for this product (BE108000-08-CM), it states that the clamping voltage is 330V, but on the back of the product it says" L-N 400V, L-G 500V, N-G 500V". So, Belkin, please tell me what is the VPR or clamping voltage of this product? I need to protect some very sensitive electronic equipment. I thought I was getting 330V, which is the recommended VPR for electronics and I need assurance that my equipment will be protected. Thank you.

This outlet extender worked out great for my home office! It is very sturdy and quality is top! It works as a surcharge protector which is what I was looking for since I've plugged in my wprk equipment and I don't want to risk it.

This is an awesome product that I got for my work station at home. It has plenty of space for the outlets for my computer, monitor, chargers, etc. I wish it had plugs for just USB so i can plug it other appliances. One problem I have with it is that my new laptop charger stops charging with the outlet. I have to switch it to a different plug for it to work.

This plug strip is everything I need to to be without a bunch of stuff I don't need. It has plenty of outlets and it has good spacing between some of the outlets for larger boxy plug in power supplies. This surge protector doesn't have all the extra stuff like coax in/ out and ports for RJ35 data cables. I'm on wifi and don't need all that stuff wasting space. It's not 1998, so I'm glad Belkin didn't include those. The plug on the 8 foot cord is a 90 degree type and the cord comes out at a 45 degree angle, so it doesn't block the second socket when plugged into a typical duplex wall outlet. I appreciate the 8 foot cord the most I think. I've set up my home office in our (finished) basement hallway and the cubby under/ behind the stairs. Since this is the basement the outlet count and locations aren't ideal. The only outlet even close to my desk is on the side wall next to the desk rather than behind my desk where I needed it, so having the 8 foot cord is what makes this location possible at all. My only real criticism of this power strip is that when wall mounted, the power cord enters the strip itself on the bottom which seems ideal- but the on/off switch is also on the bottom. It would be better to have the on/ off switch up top so when mounted, the cords don't drape down over the switch. The switch won't get bumped by the cords or a foot moving under the desk but it's just a little harder to turn on/ off that it would be if it were on top.

I got the Belkin Commercial Series Surge Protector when I started working from home to protect my company computer. One of the things I liked most was the spacing of the plugs. It has space to plug in the bulkier plugins without blocking a slot. As far as the surge protection worked like a champ. After a storm rolled through I noticed that the unit was tripped. After resetting the unit all the devices powered on without incident.

This brand of electronics is very good! I like the outlet a lot! It has a bunch of plug ins and is pretty heavy duty! Need to have a three prong outlet which isnt uncommon with power strips. It is kind of wide.

This Belkin surge protector can handle a lot. With the space for four large plugs and four regular plugs, it has the capability of protecting an entire entertainment system. The green light on top shows that there is power to the unit and there is a reset/on switch near the power cord. It is well constructed and the outlets hold the plugs in place well. It lays down flat nicely and there are also slots on the back that allow you to mount it if desired. There are also slide covers to protect unused outlets. Very happy with this surge protector.

The Belkin 8 outlet commercial surge protector is heavy duty and of high quality. It feels like it can handle surges and give great protection for my devices. I like this security over the other surge protectors.

I love this surge protector more than any that I have purchased before! Today's technology has so many different plug sizes, and I always run into the issue that I cannot fit all of my plugs, especially by my bed! The surge protector allows me to fit each plug in, no matter the size easily! I have not found any issues with it yet!

I got this as a replacement for my surge protector for my media center. This thing is really a great all around unit. It's heavy duty, it's designed not to catch dust or stuff easily, it's got an angled plug which is always a super bonus, and it's for plenty of space for larger transformer plugins. Some of the outlets can be difficult to plug in though.

As simple as a surge protector is, this Belkin is very nice. Thin profile, sleek, and looks great in any decor. Or you can mount it out of sight under a desk, on a wall, ect. This surge protector has 8 outlets, which all of them have a plastic slider you can slide to lock out unused outlets, little extra safety if you have small children. Cord is long, about 6 foot. It looks and works great. Highly recommended.

Belkin does it again. My power went out for a short moment a few weeks after getting this and it kept all my charging and connected devices protected from any surges as usual. It has a great design so it doesn't get overcrowded with cables too. Love Belkin.

Biggest life saver in my house! Trying to run multiple pieces of equipment for a batting cage and this power strip has come in clutch! Plug ins are spaced out perfectly so there's no issues with different plugs.

I'm so happy that Belkin makes a surge protector strip outlet. Love the slim design, but make no mistake, your tv and other expensive devices will be protected. With eight outlets, you're able to plug many devices and feel confident that it will protect from surges. This power strip works great just like it is suppose to. Just plug in and plug in what you want. it's that easy. it can how a lot of cords and I like the shape of it its more square than long. so it doesn't take up as much room. it's great.

I use this device to navigate plugging in two laptops and various accessories (phone charger, electric desk). It's very stable sitting on my desk - much more so than your standard surge protector strip (which frequently fall off or get turned sideways through usage, but this Belkin device isn't going anywhere) - and easily handles eight three-prong plugs.It's attractive and super easy to use and intuitive. I'd definitely get more of these in the future as needed!

The Belkin 8-Outlet Commercial Surge Protector with 8' Cord is heavy duty. The plug is low profile which will be nice in tight situations, and the long cord makes it very useful. Each outlet has a little sliding cover so that you can cover unused ones to keep the dust out. Some of them slide open/closed easily but others don't. I will let our college student take this to use in the dorm and will be glad to know that her new laptop and phone are covered under the connected equipment warranty (up to $100k) while plugged in to this.

I purchased a couple of these on Amazon a few years ago. We have regular outages in our area as they are updating the outdated grid system in our area. The electric company is notorious for saying they will notify in advance, but they never fail to omit that step. We run a home office, both my husband and I. We are both using these power strips for our PC's, monitors, and large format printers. We have not had any issues with them not protecting our investment and livelihood. I came to the site today hoping it was available in a 12' as we are adding new equipment and need the extra footage. The new model doesn't have the same swivel at the wall feature which we have to have.

I bought this three months ago, the day after I bought entirely new computer parts ($1000 worth), and I figured everything would be fine, as this had decent reviews online. We had a brief power outage here yesterday and now my PSU is dead. I'm really not impressed, and kind of surprised, as I've used plenty of Belkin products in the past with few to no problems. I'll be upgrading and getting a UPS to prevent this from happening going forward.
