THOMAS S : What is the meaning of “Ranker” in the product name?ROBERT G : I've never seen a translation of this term. But I assume it refers to the stacking feature that allows you to clip together the stands. I have two and I love this feature. They clip together with a mechanism located in the yoke and base, making carrying more than one much simpler. I don't know if stands of different height will clip together mine are identical pairs.Skip B : No idea.

Nice but overpriced.
These are nice lightweight light stands but compared to Mathews stands at the same price I have they are pretty flimsy. I wouldnt put a 600ws flash with a huge softbox on it. These are nice for traveling

Young photo guy from the bronx and I love the durability
I kept buying cheap stands. Finally opt for some quality stands and I love it. Don’t waste your money trying to go cheap. Oh, and they are great for on location, they stack together and can hold my Flash point AD600’s no problem.

Super heavy duty yet lightweight! Loved it so much I ordered another one. To make it better I found out that they stack together so it’s easy to store and transport them!

Great Light Stand
After going through numerous other lightstands, I have found a keeper. I shoot wedding and location fashion. I use off-camera strobe. These lightstands are compact, yet sturdy and wll-made. Don't underestimate the air cushion. When you lift up on a section, it won't come crashing back down til you push. Very handy when you're hans are full. As I stated, these things are very sturdy and stable. I use these in studio and on location with a 60" Photek Softlighter with no issue. I would recommend a sandbag on location because of wind. I've ordered 2 more, and wish I got the 3 pack right off the bat. You can't go wrong with these. As always, Adorama's shipping was fast and easy.

Excellent Lighting Stand
After purchasing one of these stands I went back and purchased two more. I use them holding speedlites either by themselves or mounted in/with softboxes and umbrellas. They are sturdy and work perfectly. Extactly what I would expect from Manfrotto.

The most bang for your buck
Love this stand. I used it with my speedlite and an umbrella. Don't know if it can hold up a stobe and a mid-sized softbox or not. But so far I love it.

The Manfrotto - Manfrotto 1005BAC 5/8" "Baby" Male Spigot Lightweight stand is another product innovation from Manfrotto Lighting Support. Its lightweight and compact-size makes it a practical tool for your lighting support needs. With a patented Quick Stack System (QSS) portability is the key feature.
