Questions & Answers

BRUNO E. S : Could two arms be put together?DAN B : Yes, why not. You will get more leverage (distance x weight) and if your equipment is too heavy it might not be able to hold (the friction of the magic arm will give). To fit the together you will need the suitable screw to join the two ends of the brackets, I think it is the 3/8"-16 TPI thread.BRUNO E. S : How long in inches are each section of the arm? Is there a longer arm than this? I am a wheelchair user and when I saw Mark Wallace demonstrating it, I thought I could use something like this to attach my Canon T3i/600D with a Sigma 18-250mm to my power wheelchair.DAVID S : As delivered 2 arms can not be attached to each other. However with the addition of a super clamp it would be possible, but very heavy. There might be some other way to attach 2 of these together but I would look for a longer pole before risking damage to my equipmentJOE K : I suppose you could with a lot of imagination. If you use two arms alike connected together, then you'll have two pivot points. That can be very tricky! because it may causes unstable camera movements if camera is mounted on this arm. Joe KelemanWILLIAM S : No, the arms were designed to be used as single pieces of equipment. Unless there is an attachment that allows connection, of which I am unaware, the arms will not connect.

It work perfect for my job. I love how the manfrotto can be place in so many angles without taking the clamp off.

I really like the product. I wish the manfrotto came with an option to have longer legs. Hopefully one day there will be one to purchase with longer legs.

Soooo helpful to have one!

I really, really like this one, but I only gave it 4 starz, because I must have got a lemon, as my arm only lasted for about 6 uses and then the Tying mechanism did not work anymore, I know that this is not the norm, because most all people are just as impressed with theirs and they all rave about the reliability!

Truly Magic

This thing is amazing. I'll be ordering a couple more. Get lights in any position at any location when used with the Super Clamp. One do-it-all locking lever ... ingenious. Build quality is crazy durable. I've seen complaints about it slipping over time, but read the manual; it requires a quick tweak with supplied allen wrench from time to time. Kinda' heavy, but worth its weight in gold. Plus it's so compact, it beats carrying a bigger stand that weighs a less.

Handy Equipment!

Strong articulating arm, can support a Nikon D2X on one end, and a Manfrotto Super Clamp on the other. The locking lever is an absolutely secure lever. Just twist the arm into which ever configuration you need, deploy the lever, and Presto! You are set! Works well with all types of speedlights and monolights as well.
