It's nice having the option to switch between rubber and a spike just by screwing the rubber piece out. The rubber feet that come with this tripod (190CXPRO3) are simple rounded rubber caps that go over the open end of the carbon tube, you just pop them off (takes a bit of effort) and put these on, tightening them down with a screwdriver. They weight quite a bit more, the stock caps are probably only like a half-ounce each, so these wouldn't be good if you are counting ounces. I'm pretty sure they are also really overpriced, hence the 4 stars.
