Light and easy to use

While I have been using my Welt tripod for over 40 years, this tripod is lighter, almost as sturdy and worth the price. That said, I do find the inability to rotate my camera a very big issue. So, looking for a rotation plate to add to the head I attached

Superb Tripod

This tripod has many great features but the most important to me is one rarely mentioned. I had a very large telephoto lens fall from a different tripod and this caused great grief related to getting it repaired. The tripod had a level that kept the "foot" in place that was screwed into the bottom of the large lens. However, it was possible to accidentally move the lever and release the foot--and the lens! This tripod offer a small tab that moves into place after the foot is secured. The only way to release the foot is to push down on the tab AND push on the lever. Seems like "nothing" to write home about? It is if you pay for lens that falls! The tripod is sturdy, have flexible legs to the point of allowing them to "splay" out so to put the tripod very close to the ground. The "stem" lifts up and turns 90 degrees so you can take images on the ground. It is a little heavier than other tripods I own but nothing that would give you a hernia to carry it with you!

Expensive but overall worth it.

I bought the 190go! because I was looking for a light tripod that is relatively affordable without sacrificing stability. I am 5'7" and this tripod, along with the XPRO ball head, gets my X-T2 about 2" below eye level without using the center column. One thing that surprised me about this tripod is just how useful the 90 degree feature of the center column is. When I was shopping for a tripod, I didn't even consider the 90 degree feature at all. I take a lot of photos of potted plants at home and now that I have used it, I find this feature very useful and I wouldn't want to be without it. It makes tabletop macro photography so much easier. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I find Manfrotto's fit and finish to be a bit lacking. I don't know if it is from the manufacturing process of the materials or how the factory workers handle the items but I have went through 3 of these tripods and all have either scratches on the carbon fiber or on the metal parts. This is also true for the XPRO ball head and the XPRO 3-Way head. One of the ball head had a scratch from an obvious tool slip from when it was being put together. The factory worker didn't even care enough to address the issue and just put it in the box anyways to be ship and sold. I don't know if I'm just being picky but if i'm going to pay $ on tripod legs and head setup, I want to be the one who scratches it. Other than the fit and finish issues, I'm overall happy with the tripod. It's full size, lightweight, and very sturdy. Note that the website shows the previous model of this tripod. The one that they're actually selling is the newer version. It has a different rubber feet, a slightly different twist knobs, and a different pattern on the carbon fiber.

Multiple Uses Because of Awesome Quality

Got this for my husband after he loved the Manfrotto Monopod. He absolutely loves it. With the purchase of a V attachment he is also planning to use this tripod for a shooting platform because it is so sturdy; yet it also can be reduced to such a small size for talking along on trips. I am so glad he is so happy with the product because he is very picky and I do not know alot about this type of equipment. I did not go wrong basing my decision on a prior purchase of Manfrotto equipment. Thanks Adorama!!

Manfrotto 190Go! worked effortlessly

I purchased the Manfrotto 190Go! and took it to Death Valley and the Grand Canyon in one trip. It was easy to adjust to uneven terrain to capture the landscape pictures I wanted to achieve. Worked Great!

Great Value

The carbon fiber version is about a pound lighter than my aluminum one. However, it's just as sturdy. For travel, it a plus with less weight. The only thing I have to get use to is that I'm used to the cramps on the aluminum, which is quicker and you can tell when they are not locked, but with the screw locks, there's no way you can tell...just have to make sure they are all locked before mounting your equipment on it.

Great travel tripod for pro video shoots

If you are looking for a nice travel tripod for use with smaller video cameras, this tripod works great. It is light and sturdy. I added a small Manfrotto video head and it works fine. Overall for the price this is a nice small pod.

Sturdy travel tripod

I’ve only had it a few days but have used it and was able to configure it so the camera was nearly at ground level (did need a counter weight and used an L-bracket). I’m not a huge fan of twist legs but these are easier to use than older twist lock designs. I also have the older 190 and was a bit disappointed the 190Go! did not have a bubble level; however, that is not a show stopper. One concern I do have is that when the column is in horizontal mode it requires really tightening down to prevent rotation. Again not a show stopper.

compact size with good stability

nice size for the travel. light yet stable enough for my cannon 5D mark iii and 24 - 105 lens for the almost everything during the travel. My version does not include the head, however manfrotto has enough tripod head for all kind of need.

Weak Tripod

For the price, I expected something more sturdy. This thing giggles all over the place, really surprised by the good reviews on here. I prefer my 3 section manfrotto carbon tripod as it is about 10x more sturdy although about 40% bigger when collapsed. I would not recommend this, not sure what use I have for such a shaky tripod.

It works for me

I'm not a Pro. I just need a consistent, easily managed base from which I can operate my camera for shots that need stability. The 190 works for me. Its easy to manipulate it into the appropriate configuration. I recommend it.

I love this tripod. It's sturdy enough for my Canon 6D and 70-200mm 2.8. So light weight but perform like a heavy weight. I recommend this tripod.. You would be satisfied.

Great deal and very good product

The 502 Head is one of the best heads for the price. It's not a ball base, but for use with Photo Tripods, it's one of the best that I have found. The 190Go, is a decent Alum tripod, just right in the size and strength. Together it makes a great travel tripod set. I would recommend it.

Mmmm like butter baby...

After using a couple basic tripods with cheap fluid heads, I decided to spend the money for a quality pair of sticks. This head is buttery smooth. I didn't realize how bad my velbon was. As soon as your put your hands on it, it feels premium. I went with the aluminum legs because of the price and have no regrets. Carbon fiber just isn't a necessity for me. The only downside is this setup is not travel friendly. Maybe the befree edition would be better suited for that.

Solid as rock!

By Vipul K.

I have purchased this combo (Manfrotto 190go + Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ2 XPRO Ball Head) from Adorama at a very good deal. I have set them up for indoor use and just by the feeling, I can tell that they are rock solid. I was skeptical about switching to the twist lock system but glad I did! They are very easy to use, get out of your way and actually very fast to setup. Bye bye clip locks! As a primary landscape photographer, I look forward to using this outdoor once the weather gets better ...

Solid build. Solid purchase!

By Andreas N.

Very well made. Maybe a little bit heavier then I would like it to travel with, but I will be happy with this one. Love the twist locks and the horizontal feature for the center column. Will take this around the world on my culinary adventures (food photography, landscape, etc)

Manfrotto's 190go! M-Series aluminum performance tripod kit with ball head is the ideal solution for professional photographers who want maximum performance and lightness combined with classic design on their most demanding projects, complete with one of Manfrotto's highly successful smooth and precise heads. This professional tripod is the lightest, most compact solution in the 190 range. It mounts the M-lock system, which is designed for photographers looking for a fast locking mechanism allowing the tripod to be setup in seconds, leaving the user free to concentrate on the shot they wish to capture.

The M-lock can be engaged or disengaged with a single 90deg. rotation movement. Besides enabling immediate set up, the M-lock is highly ergonomic and ensures precise movements and high stability, even with heavy loads. Moreover, this mechanism has no protruding parts, which means the 190go! M series can slip into and out of its storage pocket effortlessly. The tripod also has a built-in 90deg. column mechanism in its top casting, which stays safely stored away until needed. When it's time to use it, just raise it with a single finger, letting the center column swing out into the horizontal position.

Combined with the tripod's four leg angles, this mechanism gives perfect stability for shooting on uneven ground. The new 190go! Aluminum M-series enjoys professional tripod status because it features D-shaped aluminum tubes, usually available in the successful 190XPRO tripod range. This tubing increases the tripod's stability by improving torsional rigidity. The shape of the tube prevents internal sliding between tubes, eliminating any play. The 190go! M series aluminum performance tripod + MHXPRO-BHQ2 head kit includes Manfrotto's XPRO Ball head. This ball head ensures exceptional camera stability and security, even with heavy, premium equipment.

Featuring an innovative triple locking system that ensures shake-free shots and balances equipment with friction control, the MHXPRO-BHQ2 ball head ensures the most precise camera movement. The 190go! M-series can easily be set to 4 independent leg-angle positions, enabling photographers the versatility of easily changing shooting perspectives intuitively and effortlessly finding the right tripod height without losing focus on the shot at hand. Just like the regular versions of Manfrotto's professional grade 190 tripods, the Easy Link attachment in its top casting turns the 190go!

M-series into a mobile studio, allowing it to hold a LED light reflector or other accessories, for maximum creative freedom, enabling shots that were previously only achievable with heavily accessorized tripods. The 190go! M-series perfectly embodies Manfrotto's core Made in Italy DNA, in which world-leading design, cutting-edge technology, innovation and solid quality converge for the ultimate user experience.
