Questions & Answers

Jeff D : I have a canvas backdrop that is 54" wide. Can I just use one of the 2 sections?SHIPPING A : Since the way in which the counter weight works, by wrapping the background material and securing with a plastic sleeve it should work.AARON K : Yes, I regularly use a single section on a paper backdrop. The canvas will be a bit more of a fight to get in the bar, but it will work no problem.Timothy R : I don't see why not. The plastic comes in two parts. I let it hang off so it's easier to snap off.
LARRY H : If I'm getting a 3 paper system... do I need 3 of these or do you just lay it on whichever bkgd you are using?DOUGLAS P : And yes 3 of these they clip on bottoms of the rolls with a sleve.DOUGLAS P : Getc the power pole system never look back.JAMES J : The paper will start to unroll possibly if you don't have either a weight on it or have it held with tape or velcro. I bought 3 for the same reason but found that I only like to use 1 roll at a time just because it loads up the stands so much, and I have beefy C-stands. If I were to hang 3 rolls, I would use 3 weights for sure because putting the weight on is fairly time consuming and I would not want to be messing with it while switching backgrounds (kind of defeats the purpose of hanging 3 rolls). You might want an extra one also because I have had the plastic outer shell crack, not sure why, I may have stepped on it accidently. They are a good product, I have not seen anything better.GARIN B : You should have 3... You need to put these on straight and get all the wrinkles out.. You don't want to do that every time you change backgroundsMICHAEL S : I own the counterweight but on a one roll system. I think to only have one weight and to move it from roll to roll as you need, would be a pain. The weight is attached to the end of the paper buy first placing the "inner" section of the weight, which is a piece of pipe, sort of like what electricians use for wiring,at the end of the roll and then the 2nd piece of the counterweight, a piece of plastic 1/2 pipe then snaps around the paper and the pipe. Best and most convenient way is to use one counterweight for each roll of paper you use and avoid having to change between changing backgrounds. Not something you would enjoy doing in front of clients.LARRY H : Thanks everyone!BRICE M : Craig you will need one for each backdrop.LAURIE P : Unless you are using all three papers at once, I would think one would be sufficient. I use Velcro strips to keep the paper from unraveling while rolled up.CHAIM L : each one is for 1 background ... your best option would be to get 3 of them like i did... you will be very happy!!VERNON W : It would be best to use a counter weight for each roll. It will help to keep the paper tight when you rolll it up and when you unroll them the paper will come down without being caught or end up going behind the other rolls
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?LAURIE P : Great to keep paper from rolling up and keeping it straight.LEDA L : easy solution to common problem of keeping paper straight, wrinkle-free, without chance of tearing. Easiest with another person helping.

Useful tool

One would not think a paperweight is something worthy of a product, or something worth buying. But if you are using paper (or even cloth) backdrops somewhat regularly, this makes dealing with them so much easier. It's simple it works, and it saves time and frustration. Worth it!

Excellent Product

The paper counterweight was exactly what I was searching for. It is probably easier to install with two people but it can be done with one as with my case. I highly recommend it.

great solution

this is a great product. Simple, attractive solution to an annoying problem when dealing with paper backdrops. Easy to use. Would always have to look for something to weigh down the ends so they wouldn't roll up. With the bar going across the paper it keeps it even without waves.
