KAY B : Looking for feedback specifically for using the Manfrotto 75 Clip Clamp to secure speedlights on boom poles (not on static light stands). Will it clamp tightly enough to a pole (or rail or tube) that with a ~4lb speedlight & remote combo attached to it, when the pole is rotated or held at an angle, the clamp won’t swivel out of position?ROBERT W : it is VERY strong, limited more by the strength of what it attached to.GEOFFREY M : I would not risk it, as you can not tighten it. Better to a clamp that you can tighten.PHILLIP M : This is a great clamp and I use it on a light stand often. Check out Joe McNally's Blog for more info.ROBERT G : No. I would not have confidence that it would remain in position without swiveling with a four pound load. This Clip Clamp works great on vertical poles, and other flat surfaces to which it can be securely affixed.

Great Multi Use Clamp; A Must Have!

A must have clamp in the grip gear! Very versatile! Used in conjunction with a tiny Giotto ball head for supporting a Canon 580EX Flash. However, know that the pre-drilled holes are too small and must be slightly enlarged to accept the base of most tiny ball heads! An easy task, but an additional step. Also great for mounting an additional flash directly to a stand or pipe, for umbrella use w/o a multiflash clamp or even if inside a soft box.

Indispensible Piece of Equipment

This piece of equipment is always in my light kit. It provides a great platform, especially for lighting. I use it to attach equipment to poles and posts, horizontal and vertical surces, curved and flat. I use mine with an Adapter (Bogen #3108) and a Mini Ball Head (Bogen #482) to mount strobes exactly where I need them. I have also used the same set up for small cameras, taking pictures from impossible positions

This is a studio nessecity

I use this clamp to hold a refector under my portraits to bring a little more light into the eyes. The one I had broke after 30 years of use. This clamp should be used by every portrait photographer.

Clamps onto bars or flat surfaces up to 1.5". Attachment via a 5/8" socket and 5/8" male stud.
