I use this to hold eyepieces for a telescope and for THAT function, it works just fine. I wanted something I could leave permanently attached and not have to fiddle with when I open up and collapse the tripod. It's robust enough that I don't mind having $2,000 of eyepieces sitting in the pouches. It did precisely what I wanted, so I am very happy with it. Yes, it's a bit 1950's as another reviewer put it, but it looks well-made.

Very disappointed in this product, which I returned immediately. Seemed like something designed in the 1950s! Heavy canvas with pockets too small to hold even a 200 mm lens; attaches to legs with heavy leather straps and buckles. Primitive! Need a light nylon mesh apron that attaches with Velcro or snap in plastic buckles.

Three compartments hang below the column supported by straps above the leg locks. Fits most Manfrotto tripods.
