I have a Canon 5D Mark IV and I use the Canon 85mm 1.2 lens on it to shot portraits. I have had problem with the camera twisting on the quick release plate when I shot verticals. The new Manfrotto Anti Twist Plate solved that problem. I highly recommend this product for anyone shooting verticals.

Note that Manfrotto packages this item in 2 different versions: unless packaged wrong, this kit has a 1/4-20 tripod mounting screw. I've got 2 plates and they've both been correctly packaged with the 1/4-20 screw). The basic quick-release plate that comes with the Manfrotto heads has been near-worthless for me in portrait-mode (due to severe camera slippage). However, This anti-slip plate works very well, and really should be included with every one of Manfrotto's heads. It has definitely solved my frustrations with camera slippage!

Although I have switched to Arca Compatible Quick Release Systems with RRS L-brackets. This plate works quite well in preventing camera twist from lens torque when shooting with a Manfrotto RC-2 Quick Release Clamp. I had one on my camera permanently and used the stock plate which came with the head for my lenses that have tripod rings such as the 70-200mm f/4L IS.

This is a very useful additoin for any photographer, novice or pro. It is easy to use and very stable. This invention truly solved a problem with "camera turn" wiht a medium or long lens.

I use thie anti twist plate to eliminate zoom or tele lense "drifting downwards" when the camera is in Vertical position on a tripod.

This quick release holds the camera very firmly. It has a slightly larger platform as a base for the camera. When used in the verticle position it is very solid. I would recommend this item to any photogrpher who ever uses a tripod.

It works to stop the twisting of the camera as advertised. I set it up so that the overhang is on the front surface of my Nikon. This allows me to open and use the floating LCD on my Nikon 5000. Works great. Tripods without the plates are not any good. So I wanted a second one in case I lost one. So the anti-twist plate is my day driver and the old one my back up.

An assembly requiring iinsertion of a tiny clip in a difficult place should have been done by manufactur. I worked on it for one hour and could not get it done.

Won't work on 35mm or smaller bodies, which have 1/4" female tripod screws. Comes ONLY with 3/8" screw, rather than the 1/4" that works on 35mm or smaller bodies, despite description stating 1/4" twice. Cannot replace this screw with the 1/4" screw from the 3175N because that screw is not long enough to reach the body through this plate.
