The Manfrotto 322RC2 Improved Grip Action Ball Head with Quick Release is a game-changer! The grip adjustment makes movement so easy and smooth, which is exactly what I needed. I have issues with my right arm, and most other tripod heads are difficult for me to adjust. This one, however, is ergonomic and effortless to use, allowing me to focus on my shots instead of struggling with setup. The build quality is excellent, and the quick-release mechanism is secure and convenient. It's clear that Manfrotto designed this with both functionality and comfort in mind. Shipping from Adorama was incredibly fast, and the product arrived in perfect condition. If you're considering this ball head, I highly recommend it-it's worth every penny for its usability and quality.

This is my second one, I have had my first one for about a little over 3 and a half years. This one holds my Olympus mark 3 with a big lens without drooping, so far so good!

This was a complete dissapointment, to big , sticks on the ball . But the worst part is if try to use something with it nothing fits it. Only compatible with manfrotto. A waist of my money.

This is the second 322RC2 I have owned, as the first was begrudgingly left behind on a work trip overseas. The quality of this head is superb as one would expect from Manfrotto. I use it with my D810 with battery grip and a 70-200mm lens and it has no problem holding all that weight in place with the adjustable friction. I have total confidence when using this head that my camera is secure and the "joystick" factor makes it very easy to manipulate the camera around quickly. Definitely one of the best heads Manfrotto makes.

It works great! Absolutely no complaints. If I could suggest maybe a future improvement, it would be amazing if in the future this tool could some how lock once leveled from moving forward or backwards. Then you could pan left to right without worrying about tipping forward or backwards. Just an idea. But I really love this, the quick release and lock are amazing!

The head I replaced used a thumb screw to secure making adjustments difficult and not a secure as this head. It was simple to change to left hand use, and can even be changed to be upright. Great option! Love it!

This head will not hold the weight of my camera. The friction adjustment fully locked down, or wide open or anywhere in between produces the same amount or resistance with the grip release open or closed, there is no functionality to the grip release.

This grip action ball head is the best camera head I have ever used, so much I purchased a second one for my wife's tripod. Manfrotto equipment has always been very good quality. I highly recommend this to anyone who does a lot of move and shoot.

After tightening, movement is not smooth and difficult move the camera. Maybe if your kit is 8+ pound this is for you. I went with Manfrotto 324RC2 as I did not need more than 5 pound support.

Love this Tripod head. Have an old version on another tripod and needed another for the new tripod (one West Coast, one East Coast). Easy to use and love I can do it all with one hand. Also I am lefthanded and it is easy to make it left or right handed.

I am a relatively novice photographer, so I cannot offer my expert opinion as it relates to the world of ballheads. However, I found this very easy to use as a beginner. I enjoyed the abililty to control the rotation sensitivity, and it provides a great amount of precision. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

I use this with my Canon macro lens. The only limitation is that it only allows 180 degree motion. So if it's configured to shoot down, you have to undo everything and remount to have it shoot up. This is inconvenient, but the light weight makes up for it.

This head is simply fantastic. The range of motion is superb and if you don't get it, you change the fixation angle to the camera. It only gets stuck at times, but i suppose it is due to the strong grip it has. Overall a very good buy.

After reading other reviews on this item, I decided that it sounded like the best item for me. Very happy with my choice. It is so easy to use. Was a little hesitant because a couple reviews made it sound like it was difficult to squeeze the grip to make it work, and I sometimes have difficulty with hand stenghth. No problem though. Such a pleasure to use after the irritation of the last camera mount on a tripod that I had. Never could remember which knob to release, which handle made it go up or down, or which thing to move to make it go vertical. No more problems that way. I love it.

Thought this was exactly what I needed - but it would loosen up on the post and bind up when trying to take shots pointed down. It is for sale now! Replaced it with RRS and love it!

Smooth panning with quick set up...mounting and dismounting. Moves effortlessly and smooth when working with antsy people or animals. Initially due to unfamiliarity with front /back release, camera fell forward instantly when releasing (Now use left handed so body is still held with back lip. Develop your technique a& always one hand on camera body. If used in vertical position, due to clearance of round base support camera stops about 90 degrees. If uneven ground you must adjust tripod leg to compensate, The sports head is so adjustable you tend to move as if hand hold quick release of handle ...holds firm with release of fingers.

Grips well and instantly with the pistol grip. Only deficiency is that you can not pan on a level plane to capture something moving or for video purposes. But for stills, it is great.

Fist impressions of this head were great. It was like, look at all the free play I have. I can move the camera any which way! Then after awhile you realize that this is a hindrance not a virtue. It's just too difficult to control fine movements, especially if you have a zoom lens like a 24-70 or 70-200. My first issue with the head was that if it sat in one position for more than a minute or two, the head would stick, in that when I squeezed the trigger to move the camera, it would take considerable force to break the head loose form it's position. This got so annoying that I disassembled the unit and found that there is a sort of sticky material used on one of the plates that presses together with another plate to hold the head in position when the trigger is released. There was too much of this stuff on the plate. I wiped most of it off and now that issue is pretty much solved. Another problem is that this is just not useable for landscape photography. The head drifts enough that I find myself constantly readjusting after I have it set. Also forget about panorama's. There's no way to control horizontal movement. All in all , I guess I made the wrong choice in a head. It's pretty big and bulky too.

" I am happy with the product".
By Old M.
I recently purchased this Manfrotto grip ballhead and have not had much opportunity to use it. So far, I really am pleased with it. I was concerned that some said it was difficult to squeeze the handle, but I find it very easy to use and I am an 85 year old man. Very easy to switch over to left hand.
