I like the ease of use for grabbing quick shots, but found it hard to use on shots where I needed a more precise composition.

Although this is a very sturdy and secure head, easily adjusted, it falls short in that it does not have a rotating base for doing panoramas. It is perfect in every way but that. When doing a panorama though, it is extremely difficult to re-level everything for each consecutive shot.

Does a wonderful job of stabilizing the camera and allowing a range of motion to track fast moving action. Anyone who is complaining about this product isn't using it properly. It is wonderfully made and of the highest quality, when used as it is supposed to be used it is absolutely the best product for the job.

I have used this for over a year. It "seemed" like a good idea at the time but in reality is hands down the WORST piece of equipment in reality you can use. 1-It dosen't allow for precise alignment. and you can never get it exactly where you want. The weight of the camera will pull it out of alignment. 2-you have to tighten it down so hard to keep it from slipping with DSLR, it defeats the entire point of being easy to use where you then have to squeeze really hard. And also when it's tightened down that hard the alignment issue becomes even worse. all around the worst piece of equipment I have ever owned at any price. it's something that "sounds" good on paper, but in reality is horrible beyond words.

This grip is a rip. it won't hold up a small dslr even when it's new. now that i've tried to use it for a summer it just flops over. I'll send it in and see if it's this particular unit, but i think it's just to cheaply made.

I have another one of these for my Manfrotto 055 tripod and I love it. It has great range of motion and can be used from either side, which is important to me because I am left handed. I purchased a Manfrotto 190 tripod without a head and I needed one. So I bought another 324RC2. They are lightweight but very rugged and off terrific control of your camera and lens. I would not trade them for anything else

Replaced a Bogen 3025 head on a Manfrotto 3001BPRO tripod with this magnificent 324RC2 joystick head. The ease and quickness of changing angle of view is amazing with this new head. It easily supports my Nikon D80 with battery grip and a 70-300mm or 500mm mirror lens. My only regret is that I waited too long to make this purchase.

1 minor point is that the handle sticks out when storing or need to put the handle straight up.

The grip makes it so much easier to turn. The heavier the camera, at times, it's harder to stablilize.

From Vertical to Horizontal in 1 sec. Does what is says. Affordable. No fine adjustments to it may take a few trys to get it just right. My favorite use is with my monopod allows you to shoot in portrait mode. PS I use this on a Nikon D7000 with an 18-200 lens.

Its junk. I use it with my 5D and it wont hold still...No precise control...so frustrating....it you never let go of it you might be able to use it.

It's just so easy to use. Sometimes I squeeze the trigger just for fun. The only problem I have is the grease on the ball stinks when you move it around to much.
