I have used this extensively in the studio and have hauled these on location. In studio, their sturdiness provides assurance that a softbox on a boom will not collapse. The air cushioning feature saves many scraped fingers. Only drawback is the large footprint which can be limiting in a smallish studio. I take them on location because of their sturdiness, but it can be a drawback because of their weight. However, overall, I would not hesitate to recommend these stands for any strobe flash application.

One of the three light stands I ordered had been assembled with one of the poles being slightly too small, but they sent me a new one and all is fine. These stands are big and sturdy. And they come with the castors. So when you add the cost of castors to the cost of the "lessor" brands of stands they are about the same amount of money and you've got the best stands out there. They are NOT made in China which is good for several reasons.
