The arm is good. The support of the security is very bad.
The arm is good, but the support of the security is very bad. They make it a very bad synth. If it falls or is hit, however little it may be, it can break. That's why I had to buy a new one. And they do not just sell security support.

looks, fit, and form match as expected
Adorama sent the Manfrotto 502HLV quickly. It is OEM, identical to the pan arm I received with my Manfrotto MVH502AH fluid head mount, so looks, fit, and form match as expected.
I use two pan arms for a better experience with a refractor telescope, allows me to stay centered on stars, etc with either hand while changing eyepieces or focusing, or with both hands to minimize jerkiness and reduce vibrations at high magnifications.

It's a pan arm
It's a pan arm, not too much room for being bad.
