Questions & Answers

JOE F : Hi,will this monopod hold a 150mmto600mm tamron lens? So you don't have to carry a full tripod around. Thank's JoeJEFF J : I mainly use this for videos - it doesn't lock down for longer exposure time (e.g. night time, etc.). Also keep your hand on the camera for safety before disengaging with the quick release. I also use a Op/Tech neoprene straps for mono-pods & tripods for comfort while walking about, etc. Otherwise it's a great tool!DERRICK Y : I have used this tripod with my Nikon D700 and Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II without any issues. I shoot my daughter's basketball games and It's great not having to carry the weight for extended periods of time. Unit allows me to wait or pan smoothly for that perfect shot without my arms tiring out.ATRAIU G : It will hold it fine, and should work fine for photography. Ever see those guys with the huge canon lenses at NFL games? They seem to me to be the ones without the three legs at the bottom, and they do great. But would be too shaky IMO at those distances for any video work.KULWANT S : Hi Joe, I have tried a canon 70-200 f2.8 and it can hold it but if there is the slightest of wind you may experience Canberra shake. This tripod is great for light lenses and bodies. Hope I could help.MING S : Yes, very convenience, But, this is not Tripod, you need use both hand to hold the camera whatever you use Small camera like Sony Nex 5 or the big camera. It will be fell down if you think it stand on stripe up when you leave it alone on hurryJAMES G : I use mine with a Nikon D7000 and Nikon 18-300 zoom. The lens alone weighs 28.6 oz, so it will support the weight. A monopod is not as stable as a tripod, but can help you use slower shutter speeds than you could with just handheld.THEO R : You can certainly mount and hold it, but this monopod should not be left unattended. It must be held or it will fall. I lost a small Canon Vixia we used for casting learning this lesson.DON P : I would say now. Personally, going back I would have gotten then next larger model up. the top of this tripod is slightly wobbly with my 5D and 70-200 2.8.DANIEL M : I would never leave my camera on this unoccupied. It's for support only. It would tip.RICHARD K : The monopod is surprisingly stable. It won't stand independently with a large lens like that, but when used as a stability device with you holding the lens, it will work well to get you less blurry indoor shots. The three tiny feet help prevent any slipping on the floor. Hope this helps.
Shopper : What is the weight of this Monopod, and how stable are the legs?TERRANCE C : I would say the weight is about a pound or less. It's very portable and I had no problem carrying it all over Southeast Asia. It's a monopod with legs to stabilize video shooting. It is by no mean a tripod. I do not recommend leaving the camera on and walk away. However, I love the fluid legs in lieu of the fluid head.KULWANT S : You may want to check out the exact details of the weight on their website but in terms of stability it's pretty good.... If ur going to use a heavy body like a 5d I would not recommend this monopod. Get the thicker one with a hdv head instead of the 234..DANIEL E : I didn't even remember buying that monopod until you reminded me. Thinking back to when I first received it and tried using it, I was very dissatisfied with it. Actually I thought it was totally useless and would not recommend it to anyone for anything. I believe manfrotto makes a better one that is more functional but I don't know what its called. Avoid this one.LINDA A : Honestly, I returned the piece of equipment because it was not what I needed.
JOEL S : What color cartridge base does it come with, red or black? And what's the difference from a 560-B1 to a 560-B? Thanks!RICHARD K : Sorry, I don't understand your question. I have the monopod. The three-footed base is black. The detachable faceplate on the top that attaches to your camera is also black. I don't know what the difference is between the 560-B1 and 560-B. Hope this helps somehow.ANTHONY C : Black. The 561 replaces the 560. ALLEN G : Fluid cart in mine is red anodize. Don't know dif' B to B1. Mine is BG560B. There is some slip-stick when beginning to tilt at the base but not when beginning to rotate.

560B lighter monopod for DSLR video

Lighter than DV monopod and does not have pan head, but that makes it easier to carry and use both for stationary shots with the feet, quick moving shots as a monopod or as a handy quick steady cam substitute for casual video.

I love the product.

I use the monopod with a small video camera. It's very lightweight and opens quickly. I don't like the tripod legs too much as they snap when you move from one location to another, but I like it's versatility.

Awesome Monopod

I bought this monopod to use on a trip to Beijing. It was amazing. The base allows for smooth pans and the feet are very strong. I used it with a Panasonic HDC-SD1 camera. The only downside is it's length when it is folded up but this was never a problem for me.
