Great product, great price

I'm leaving soon on a six-month trip through Europe, and this tripod fits perfectly into my backpack. It unfolds quickly, and I haven't had any issues with stability so far. This is the perfect tripod for me.

Good Tripod for Travel

A good tripod for the money. Recommended for lighter cameras, but supports my DSLR with f2.8 50-135mm zoom attached. I chose it for backpacking and travel because I wanted a relatively light tripod that was compact when collapsed, yet tall enough to use without stooping when extended. A bit wobbly compared to heavier models, but better than not having a tripod when you need one. I wish it had a separate pan lever for the ballhead.

If you are over 6' this is the one

I am 6'2" and this tripid get my 40D in my face, dont have to bend over. But to do that it dosent fold as compact as some others and weighs a little more.... even extended all the way it is very stabile and the ball head is a great invintion ... easy to use and quick to set. In a nut shell I would buy another 725B ... very happy with this tripod

Perfect tripod for the price and weight

The learning curve with this tripod is almost nil. It performs perfectly for its size, weight and price.

Good choice for lightweight tripod

This is a real good alternative when carrying a standard tripod is not a good choice.

great vaule for the money

I liked how well it was built and the ease of using it. That I bought a second one for my Dad, and he was just as impressed with it as I was.

Really great value for money

This tripod has started to impress me when i started to use it for the first time. Being an enthusiast, i use a semi pro body with Nikon 18-200 VR lens for which this tripod is very steady and gives tack sharp photos (especially night shots). I am really amazed by this product and will recommend this to any enthusiast who are looking for a good quality tripod for a reasonable price.

A great LIGHTWEIGHT tripod

I ordered this tripod based on past experience w/ Bogen tripods. I knew it might be marginal as I had a 7.2 lb camera and lens to put on it. It does the job, but I really need a heavier tripod for this camera/lens combination. I'll keep it for field use w/ other lighter loads, as it really is a dandy little tripod.

Just what I needed

This is a great tripod for the money. The ball head is silky smooth and it holds up my D80 with 80-400mm Nikkor lens and SB-600 flash (7lb total) at any position with ease. The tripod is very light and is perfect for vacations, hikes, and whatever else you might need it for. The quick release legs collapse and extend quickly and are very sturdy. No leg wobble like you might expect at this price. Even with the center column and all the legs fully extended this pod is sturdy enough to take long exposure images with no issue. The case it comes with is also pretty nice and the strap is adjustable. The only thing I would change is have 2 separate levers for the pan and ball lock feature. But like I said, the ball head is extremely sturdy and the price is great!

Seems ok

This is my first 'real' (expensive) tripod as the one I bought previously cost about $30 and broke on my first hike, the one previous to that was about $50 and worked just fine until it was lost. This tripod by comparison to the last cheapie one seems of better build quality and a bit more stable, which IT BETTER. When you lock the camera in place, it stays, the ball head makes getting it in position very easy. This tripod also cost 2-4 times as much as the ones I've had previously and I don't know how I feel about that. I can't say that you couldn't get a good tripod for half the price, but I wanted some assurance of quality, so here I am. I was really torn between purchasing a $250 pro tripod or going shy of pro and hoping for the best. Saving money won. We're still bonding, but I think it will serve my purposes just fine, I go on hikes, I use it for stuff around the house, it won't be abused. But i guess for the money, I might wish for a little bit more. I would give it 3.5 stars if it let me.

A nice tripod

I use the tripod with a Nikon D40. Although the instructions indicate it's use is only with point and shoot cameras, I've had no problems yet.

Good Value, Great Tripod

I just bought this tripod and tested it out. I thought it might be a bit chintzy for my Nikon D60 since the packaging says its for a digicam but the ball head holds up quite well and stable. I love the compact size and plan on taking this on vacay to Costa Rica.

725 Digi-Tripod - Solid,worth the money.

Got this the other day... as usual, awesome customer service and advice, and rapid shipping. This tripod is truly stable with my rig, a Nikon D-80 with battery grip, and either the 11-18 or 18-135. The carry case that it came with was actually really well made. This tripod is a great deal, with a silky smooth ball head, an truly meticulous craftsmanship. I'd totally recommend this to a friend.

Bogen 725B Digi-Tripod

This tripod is not constucted heavy enough to use as a step stool to reach the top shelf in the pantry, but for someone who wants to go on day hike or even backpacking and use it as a stable platform for a spotting scope or medium sized camera, it is perfect. It extends tall enough to view without stooping, it is light in weight and the ball head locks securely. Just what I was after.

great for product for the price

Is not the most stable tripod, but it is not the most expensive either. For long exposures it is best when camera is set on timer and hand is removed from camera before picture is taken. That said, it is a pretty good tripod. I recommend it and would buy it again.

A Fine Tripod

A well made, sturdy tripod. The ball-head is smooth and easy to use. Center column is reversible. Works very well for me. Capacity is 7.7lb...haven't tried it with anything longer than 200MM lens.

Wonderful!

I take pictures all the time, but am a novice as far as skill. This tripod has already made a world of difference in my photos - and it's easy to take along so I always have it with me.
