I like this product. I got it a few days ago and so far it’s been good.I originally had a ball head for my tripod because it came with it.. And it’s been a year that I ha de my tripod, so I did an upgrade, and I got a pan head. And in my opinion, the pan head is easier to use than a ball head. Great product!

Serves its purpose and functions because I needed a 3 bubble level head, but not professional grade: 1) Not Tight for Setup: doesn't stay exactly where you put it but close enough to keep the bubble levels where you set them. The tolerance width is absolutely unacceptable for pros, but tolerable for beginners. 2) Cheap build: loose mechanisms and low friction joints, almost feels used when bought brand new 3) Poor aesthetics: looks great in the photos because that is one side of it, but that back angle has the plastic clamp that secures one axis around a cylinder, and I don't like how it looks exposed If any of these above points weren't issues with this head, there would be no upsell to the more expensive Manfrotto heads. Therefore, I can recommend this unit for beginners only as it is usable and does function, but I've used better heads and notice where this one lacks.

The head is smaller than the base on the tripod and the tripod mounting screws are outside the radius of the head which means I can't securely mount the head. Plus the head does not turn smoothly. I returned the head and will be getting a better one.

The tripod head folds up and the legs collapse to easily fit in a lightstand bag and makes it easy to go through dooways with the bag sideways.

The Manfrotto MH293D3-Q2 3-Way Photo Head with Foldable Handles is fabricated from a lightweight polymer called Adapto that offers great strength and functionality without the weight of metal. A unique mechanism allows you to fold the handles parallel to the tripod for tighter, more convenient packing. The head boasts 360 degree panning, +90deg. / -30deg. tilting and three bubble levels for accurate framing. It has a quick release and camera plate with a 1/4"-20 mounting screw.
