I bought this tripod for travel and really like it. Compact and light, yet works well with heavy camera and lens unless it is very windy.

I purchased this tripod for traveling. Mainly for trips down to NYC, I want to be as compact as i can. When in the country side I bring a heavier and sturdier tripod that I can put in the water for some of my shots.

I really like this tripod. It’s light but durable. It is easy to adjust and folds up really small into the included travel case. I carry it with me more often because of how easy it is to transport.

I don't know why I lugged around my big heavy full size tripod for so long. Having used this travel tripod is SO much better. Lightweight, stable, easily adjustable, and supports my D750. Excellent value

Very good tripod for travel. It is a little low for me as I'm 6'1", but it is very compact and comes with a bag with carrying strap. It used the same camera adapter as my other Manfrotto tripod. The only thing I can fault is that the center column isn't adjustable.

The description of this tool was precise and accurate - impressed by the durability of the tripod vs. its weight - with some adjustment I was able to get my top-heavy 600mm lens to sit securely on this ! Very impressed

I just used it on my trip to Europe. It was very easy and light to load and close it, I could take it everywhere, I needed it, I did not have to make efforts and in my trip, I easily put it in my luggage, since when it closes its size Is small, I recommend it, to travel and for everything, this will be my only tripod for everything from now on, Thank you very much Rebeca Fernandez

Light, sturdy and easy to carry around with you! i love traveling, being out doors and going on adventures which often leads to lots of walking so a light, compact tripod is essential. at 3 lbs and a sturdy and comfortable case it's light enough to carry around with ease and compacts small enough to fit in my carry on back pack when flying.

Good tripod. Folds small so it's easy to take anywhere. Won't stand up to a stiff breeze without a little shake (just gut back from Iceland) so make sure your exposures are short.

The best tripod I ever had in my life. Adorama is synonymy of responsibility, of serious guys, and authentic items.

Very compact and yet sturdy. Ingenious design, the way the legs fold up in reverse position around the head. This will be my hiking tripod for sure!

I have a much larger, heavier Manfrotto but I have been traveling a lot lately and wanted something that would fit in my carryon. I love this tripod! It is sturdy and easy to carry. It has the same leg toggle system and camera attachment as my much larger Manfrotto. Highly recommended!

Easy to set up and take down. Legs take a little getting used to since they need a slight twist to tighten even with he clamp in place. Very light and portable for on the go photography.

I bought this tripod to replace a lost Mefoto Roadtrip. I thought the flip lock legs would be faster to set up than the twist legs on the Mefoto. That might be true, however if you shoot in the desert you will be constantly fighting the sand which keeps them from closing. That's forgivable, I suppose, as this isn't necessarily made for use in sandy environments, however, that's only the beginning of the problems with this tripod. Straight out of the box, this feels very chintzy compared to the solid feeling Mefoto. The whole thing is made of cheap plastic and metal. It looks and feels more like an eighty dollar tripod, if that. The lack of an Arca Swiss release plate is disappointing. The rubber feet on mine fall off if used in the cold, so I had to order new rubber feet. The Manfrotto customer service was quite a runaround and it took many calls and then a month and a half to get replacement feet. This tripod has never been subjected to intense forces, yet the lower leg is bent enough make it impossible to slide it into the collapsed position. I had to disassemble the whole thing and unbend it to get it to work again. The only upside of this tripod is that it's very compact, and has a very simple and fast head with only one knob. I would highly recommend spending an extra 10 bucks and getting the MeFoto. Although it has flaws of it's own, it is much, much, better than this one.

Very nice compact size - fits in my carry on luggage if need be but I usually throw it in my check-in luggage. Due to its compact size and relatively light weight(compared to other Manfrotto tripods I own), this is great for hiking and backpacking trips. I hate to carry much weight on those trips and often have left a tripod at home to save weight, but this tripod was light enough for my to strap on my pack and not notice the weight too much. In saving weight, the tripod legs are not the sturdiest when fully extended. As long as it's not overly windy and I use the 2-second self-timer, I can get in-focus shots at slower shutter speeds. Also, if you do not extend the skinniest/lowest leg section, the tripod is sturdier. Overall, it's a decent compromise between light weight, small size, and stability. Better than other travel-type tripods I've purchased. It's a keeper.

I must admit I was a bit skeptical about a travel tripod, but I needed one for an upcoming trip and didn't want to have to lug my full sized tripod around the airport. I ordered the Manfrotto and honestly cannot find any fault with it. It seems that the Manfrotto team put a lot of thought into the design of this tripod and it does everything I need it to do. It holds my Nikon D7100 with a 28-300 zoom effortlessly. All adjustments to the ball head are made with only one knob (there is no panning knob). The only thing missing is a bubble level. I don't know why they didn't include that in the design.

for an easy to take tripod it is great. A lot better than my old tripod and much more stable than a smaller one. Haven't used it a lot but what I have it has been easy to use. Will see how it holds up with more use. I will use it as my everything tripod

I bought this tripod to save my back from the effort required to lug my big, sturdy carbon fibre legs around the globe while on assignment. In short, I wish I had purchased this item sooner - it has been a great tool while in the field. I held off on buying this for a while because I use fairly heavy gear - I usually shoot with a Nikon D800 and 24-70mm f/2.8 or 12-24mm f/2.8 attached. Even the tiny ballhead on this tripod can take the weight, though for how long, we'll see. No worries, though; I can always swap out the included ballhead for something sturdier. I love the size and weight - it fits into my field bag without issue - and it extends to a decent height. It folds VERY Small. My only real issue is with the plastic locking mechanism on the ballhead; I can see it wearing out or breaking without much force. Again, I'm not taking off a point because I can easily switch the ballhead. Overall, a fantastic purchase - I can't imagine taking my heavy tripod on a long expedition ever again. I'm currently shooting with this piece of kit in the Peruvian Andes, and it stands up exceptionally well even in decent winds (a bag hook on the bottom would be a neat little bonus).

Love this little tripod. When my monster medium format tripod gave up, I decided to replace it with something uber compact and lightweight now that I'm all digital. This did the trick! I love Manfrotto products so I stuck with my brand and it's worth the $$$.

If you are looking for a truly portable tripod that can give you the best stability under 4 pounds for a 35mm DSLR, look no further. Of course it is not intended to give you stability in a river current with 8 seconds exposure or in a desert storm wind... but for most pictures under normal conditions, you get surprisingly great and sharp results. I use a heavy Sony A-850 with high quality Zeiss lenses that weights about 4.5 pounds body+lens and this little marvel is strong enough to hold it with no movement from the ball head. A great asset when you need a small tripod to walk many hours and cannot carry a 10 pounds giant! Have a nice day!
