I purchased to replace the Peak Design travel tripod, which I hated so much I sold it. Successor excellent over all. Surprisingly sturdy for a travel tripod. Looks and feels as though built for durability. I especially like the leg locks ? beefy and easy to operate. Recommended. My only regret is in acquiring Peak Design. I realize that it wins rave reviews. Notwithstanding, I found it wanting. Latches not user-friendly, short even when center column extended. The only good thing IMO is that it folds very short, can easily fit in any carry-on.

This tripod is everything it's stacked up to be: it's strong but lightweight, easy to deploy, and very flexible with it's excellent ball-head and ability to position one's camera very close to the ground. Highly recommended.

This tripod is light yet rugged... folds up in a flash and extremely easy to set up and put away when done.. No question if I would buy again.. but with as well as it is built, I probably won't ever need to.

I have several larger and fancier tripods. But this little gem is so convenient its become my go to tripod for day to day use. light and compact while still being sturdy and tall enough for the camera to be at eye level.

This is an excellent tripod- couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The materials are first-class and the build quality is excellent. It’s very sturdy and sets up quickly, and the ball head adjusts quickly and easily but locks down solidly. It’s not cheap, but I feel it’s worth every penny.

Nice compact yet sturdy tripod. I attach this tripod to a backpack for nature hikes. The tripod is also quite easily and quickly adjustable the more experience you get with it. Not the lightest, but sure it would be hard to get the stability it has without a little weight.

I am very pleased with this tripod. It is my first tripod that I can use without bending over and that is a big plus. The best feature besides it's ease of use with the screw locks, is the ball head. It has a drag feature that allows you to balance your camera and lens so it stays in place, yet you can move the camera around to compose that photo or track that bird. It's not a gimbalhead but damn close for my needs.

I love the versatility of this tripod, especially for nature photography, and the build quality seems pretty good so far. The head I am not in love with though. It mostly works just fine but my main gripe is with the friction control. It's too easy to accidentally move the friction setting with your palm while you undo or retighten the main knob. Note that the friction control is effectively part of the main knob and that's why its easy to make this mistake. I also find the quick release to be quite fiddly to keep it latched open; it really needs two hands. Overall though, the tripod and head are pretty good and I would recommend this combination, just noting that you may have the same experience as me with the friction control and the quick release.

This tripod is built very well and with it's 22lbs payload, can hold up all of my gear with ease. The option to put the center column at 90 degrees and the minimum height of about 3.5 inches gives you great versatility in different landscapes and shooting situations for the best composition and shot. My critiques are Manfrotto could have provided a ball head with bubble levels for the price of it, which is not a deal breaker at all, and a set of spikes could have been nice but overall this tripod gets the job done in a variety of ways and has the build quality to last for years.
