Lumie delivers the light

I have been using the small and big (muse) lumies for about two months now and have found them to be very convenient and so far hold a decent charge. I keep one always mounted to a gorilla pod w/ tripod head and whenever I need some quick ligh for work, craft or photo/video, I can set that up anywhere. I mostly use them for closeup/macro video and have been very pleased with the tone/temp of the led and diffuser. I am deducting one star for the hot shoe mount that does not seem to fit and for how hot the lights get. I have run the Lumie for up to an hour for video and surprised the plastic did not melt. Attached is a wasp nest pic, I had to rig a wire around my camera to hold the lumie out in front of the lens.The wasps attacked the lumie when it started vibrating in the wind!

The LUMIE MUSE is the largest and brightest LED in the LUMIE range but is still ultra-portable. Keeping one or two LUMIE Muse' in your kit bag will give your portable lighting set a real kick without all the extra weight and space needed for traditional lighting. The LUMIE Muse is great for lighting in myriad situations with excellent maximum light output and 4 step dimming to regulate light intensity.

The USB rechargeable Li-Pol batteries provide superb battery life allowing you to make the most of the photo/video shoot. The LUMIE Art comes with a hot shoe mount, also provided with a standard 1/4" thread to enable you to attach it directly to a tripod or alternative supports. Also included in each kit a set of snap-fit filter mount and filters which modify the color temperature and diffusion of the light; you can simultaneously use up to 2 to achieve various effects.

The filters and filter mount are all supplied with they own carrying case. Better yet, you can also buy accessory filter kits with additional filter colors to create even more unique images.
