I bought it on sale for $580. After using it on a few shoots I can say that I wouldn’t pay the full price for it. I love that the head is a 75mm ball head and a flat base at the same time, very cool. I have two main gripes with it. One is that when you adjust the counter balance you have to tilt the head back a forth a little before the adjustment takes effect. Two is that when you adjust the resistance on the tilt it makes a crackling sound for a short period when you tilt the head. For the price of this tripod these defects make it seem a little cheap in quality. Aside from that, I still like the tripod and it does produce very smooth camera movements. The over sized tilt lock is nice, although it does require some extra force to fully lock it, as opposed to your average small tilt locks. The quality of the legs is as expected from Manfrotto, which is ok. With my stripped down Blackmagic Ursa Mini and Sigma Art 50-100mm it’s right at the limit of the counterbalance strength.
