Solid footing for Sony Alpha on the Manfrotto plate

The Manfrotto Quick Release Plate for Sony Alpha holds the camera firmly, the lip on the front of the plate prevents the camera from rotating when in the vertical mode. Fits the Manfrotto tripod heads and the Arca/Swiss heads.

Manfrotto quick release plate for Sony

Cheap, paint scratched off on first try, I imagine after a few times it will look beat up. Also, not good for shooting stars as you can't reverse the plate and the worse is that the plate is difficult to put in and remove, not easy to use and I suspect in the dark it won't be an easy task. I bought it to stabilize my Sony camera but this plate is cheaply made and not easy to use. I hope I can return it.
