This case will best fit a laptop with a very small screen bezel, like Dell XPS or Lenovo Flex 5. Otherwise it will be a tight fit. Case has handy pockets & good soft liner to cushion laptop.

I bought this bag for my daughter, who is a grad student. She loves the bag, as it fits everything necessary for study/work trips to class or cafes, when a full-blown laptop backpack isn't necessary: computer, folder with documents, a little notebook (kept in the tablet pocket), and little accessories in the organizer pocket. Very satisfied overall.

Positives: This is a really well made bag with a nice nonslip pad on the shoulder strap, a very effective trolley strap that fits over odd handles but still holds the bad securely, and some great interior organization with multiple solid & mesh pockets and pen sleeves. The laptop padding is top-notch and the bag would fit a 14" laptop great. The magnetic iPad pocket on the bag is my favorite feature. I don't have an iPad but I find the pocket extremely handy for storing items that I need to be able to access quickly. Negatives: My 15.6" Dell Inspiron 5559 barely fits into the laptop sleeve and it takes two hands to get it back out (one to pull on the laptop and one to hold onto the bag). The phone pocket on the outside is useless for me with my iPhone 6s Plus. I can barely squeeze it into the pocket with the case I have on my phone and getting it back out is very difficult. The front pocket on the bag would be MUCH more useful if it had two zippers so you could unzip the top and slip items in and out of it. As it is designed you have to unzip all the way up the side and across the top to get into that pocket.

the Brenthaven is an attractive well made bag. however, it is too short/small for a 15.4 " laptop. infact the packaging states that it for a 15" MacBook. what a shame.

The product is well constructed based on materials and stitching. The various pockets are designed so that the items I placed in the bag are smartly apportioned. I use the bag as a briefcase during my commute via train to work.

This briefcase is nice but there were several flaws on the fabric (like white or bleached out dots on the black fabric). Not enough to send it back-we'll just use a black Sharpie and cover it up- but not enough to give this review a 4 or 5 star rating.
