Finally one that works

Used to carry and protect newly acquired Nikon DSLR D7000 along with older SLR Kit. All necessary pieces are quickly at hand. Very stylishly crafted and a distinctive addition to my new DSLR. Organization of equipment is easily attained.

Great quality BUT...

I have a few Billinghams and this is the largest one I have. I love the quality of Billinghams and its practical uses. But the one complaint of this model is that its heavy once the gear is in and the strap while relatively comfortable, it does not wear well on the shoulder over time. Not to be used on the shoulder for extended periods.

The best of the best

[...] When the bag arrived I felt like a kid getting his first bicycle. Total pride in ownership. This bag is nothing like the ballitstic nylon bags that are full of padded niches and compartments. It took me a bit to get it organized the way I wanted because it is so unique. But once I did, I would never go back to a typical bag. It carries well on the shoulder, it opens and closes quickly and easily, and I can carry it with the top open and my equipment accessable. If you have pride in your equipment and you want to have the same pride in what houses it, this is the only bag which permits that. The workmanship is extraordinary and the materials are first rate. I feel like I should buy a Jaguar to put my bag in to do it justice. I am travelling to China this summer (2007) and the Billingham will be with me all the way. If you want the best, the Billingham bag is it. Go For It!!

Superb camera bag!

Superb craftsmanship and very satisfied with my purchase.

A firm favorite with serious photographers all over the world.The 445 has recently undergone a substantial re-design.
The main compartment now includes four extra full depth pockets. The single, straight-path zip top opening is retained but has now been reprofiled, so that it is possible for the zip panels to lie out of the way behind the inside pockets, to form the Billingham TukTop. In use the zip can remain open and protected with the main flap. The simple straight zip path ensures long, trouble-free life. The extra height ofthe 445, allows a hammerhead flashgun to stand upright in the bag. The adjustable Delta shoulder sling comes complete with a leather and neoprene SP20 shoulder pad.
A new accessory, the G4 Computer Slip, will fit into the front pocket of the 445, allowing a laptop computer to be safely carried.
