Berkey System Standard Baseplate with Shoulder Pad for Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 Digital Cinema Camera

The Berkey System Standard Baseplate with Shoulder Pad is compatible for Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 Digital Cinema Camera. The camera is mounted to the baseplate via one 1/4-20 and one 3/8-16 captive screw. There are many positions available for the mounting screws to position the baseplate fore or aft on the camera to achieve perfect balance. The camera mounting screws both have the same hex head size so just one 5/32 hex key is required to mount the camera. Six rubber pads grip the the bottom of the camera firmly to ensure the camera does not twist on the baseplate.

On each side of the baseplate there are locations that are pre-drilled and tapped to allow the use of either Arri compatible rosettes or 15mm Counter-bored Accessory Mount Block for adding extra handles, creating a cage or adding additional accessories. This baseplate can be customized to fit any users needs. Lens center to iris rod center distance is 85mm allowing the use of all matte boxes.

There are two spring loaded index able knobs per side on this baseplate. Using two knobs per side gives superior clamping strength to prevent the iris rods from rotating. The bottom of the baseplate is drilled and tapped with the 17.25mm offset holes required for use with an Arri bridge plate. The baseplate weighs one pound or 465 grams. Length is 6.4", width is 4.5". The shoulder pad integrates into the rear of the baseplate. Comfortable and compact. Covered with long wearing 3/8 inch thick neoprene foam. Two 15mm rods are machined into the front of the pad allowing it be used with any 60mm spaced rail block.
