The centerpiece of this kit is the Kobold 800 Watt HMI PAR light, renowned for its optimized reflector design that ensures high light output and homogeneous illumination. The ergonomically positioned focusing knob allows for an adjustable focus range between 12-70 degrees, providing you with the flexibility to create the perfect lighting conditions for any shoot.
Built for durability and reliability, this daylight fixture boasts a compact design that is easy to transport and set up. Its robust construction has earned it an IP54 rating, indicating its high resistance to water splashes, making it an ideal choice for outdoor shoots in unpredictable weather conditions.
The kit also includes the Kobold EWB-400.575.800 AC Ballast, which is IP43 rated for weather resistance. This versatile ballast is compatible with the DW400, DW575, or DW800 HMI fixtures and can be connected to an 85-265VAC source. It provides dimmable power to your fixture via the included head-to-ballast cable, allowing you to adjust the lighting intensity to suit your needs.
In addition to the HMI head and ballast, this kit comes with a PAR reflector, a 4-lens set, a 4-leaf barn door, a 25-foot lamp cable, and a 400-watt HMI lamp. These additional components enhance the functionality of the kit, offering you a complete lighting solution for your professional photography and videography needs. Please note that the case is not included in this kit.
Bron Kobold DW 800 PAR AC Flight Kit Features
- Fine Design: Lightweight and compact. No stray light, heat-resistant. Optional ceramic safety glass, wide range of accessories
- Rugged: Housing is made of high strength aluminum and is equipped with a mount for single-ended HMI/MSR lamps with a high degree of efficiency. The ignition unit is air-tight and allows cold and hot starts even in a humid environment
- Versatile: May also be used as a PAR, or lantern fixture, with the appropriate reflectors, available separately
- Dimmable: The required light output can be set (100 - 60% adjustment range) with the power regulator. Color temperature can change with the power output depending on the type of lamp used. Less than 5% flicker
- LED Display: Green LED is lit continuously: normal operating mode. Green LED is flashing: the thermo protection is activated reducing the power continuously down to 60%. Red LED Blinking: the mains voltage has dropped below 85V. If this LED is flashing, the lamp will be switched off automatically
- Hot Restrike: Permits rapid on-off switching of included HMI bulb
