The MK III Clean channel, a sophisticated yet seemingly simple circuit, is versatile in producing a range of classic clean and crunch tones. It uses both parts of an ECC83 valve to create any valve compression or crunch.

The HT MK III overdrive channels are a testament to Blackstar's commitment to continuous improvement, with each amp having its overdrive tones specifically tweaked and refined during extensive listening tests. The result is an overdrive that cleans up beautifully when the guitar volume is backed off, thanks to a second order low pass filter that removes high frequency 'fizz' without attenuating the signal below the cut-off frequency.

The patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) allows you to infinitely adjust the response of the tone control network, enabling you to design your own sound and truly find 'the sound in your head'.

All HT MK III amplifier models feature Voice switches, providing even more scope to tailor the tone of the amp. The Voice 1 setting is based on a classic American clean sound, while the Voice 2 setting is inspired by a vintage 'Class A' British tone.

The digital reverb has been developed by Blackstar to work well with both clean and overdriven tones, responding well to the dynamic nature of clean sounds and the more compressed, harmonic rich textures of crunch and high gain overdrive sounds.

The CabRig 3-way switch allows you to switch between three stored CabRig settings, with almost unlimited further options controlled and set in the Architect software app. CabRig is Blackstar's proprietary IR-based technology, featuring innovative DSP software that reproduces the rich, dynamic characteristics of real-world guitar cabs.

The HT MK III amplifier also features improved XLR and Headphone/Line Outputs, a new USB-C connection for USB audio connection and connection to a computer to run the Architect software, and a standard latching 2-way footswitch for easy switching between the two Clean channel voices and two Overdrive voices.
