This is such a fun little trinket and it is just perfect for fighting venomous spiders and snakes in the Congo. I went on a vacation to the Congo with my family and a snake jumped out of a tree to eat my son and that was when I wiped out my trusty knife and I beat that snake up then a huge spider almost bit my wife so I ninja kicked it and then stabbed it in the very darn face. In the end this is the best knife I have ever used. Also is good for cutting Mac in cheese of son.

The North Fork is a fantastic product. The fit, finish, and overall quality is outstanding. The locking mechanism is especially smooth. Moreover, I love the look and feel of the wood scales. I highly recommend this knife.

Got the benchmade North fork folder for Christmas 12/25/22. I've been carrying it everyday since my parents got it for me as a Christmas gift and so far I've only used it once to cut tape from a box and it's still actually razor sharp I am amazed with how sharp the S30 V steel is especially from cutting tape from a cardboard box. I haven't had a chance to sharpen it yet but can't wait till I get my first chance to. This will be my very first time sharpening the S30V steel so I'm kinda curious to see how it sharpens and takes an edge. The knife is very beautiful and very well made and is very smooth opening and closing. Can't wait to use it more in the near future. The axis lock is very smooth working also. This is my second Benchmade knife I actually bought my very first one in September 2022 I bought the benchmade mini Bugout all black blade and black handle with S30V and really like it as well. Then on 1/2/23 I went to my local Bridgeport tool and equipment my local Benchmade dealer and bought the mini Bugout with the orange handle and stainless steel S30V steel blade and also bought the mini griptilian and also purchased the Blue box torx bit maintenance kit with all the bits to check the screws on the knives.

the handle is perfect for the hand as its nice and round with an index finger cut out with an amazingly smooth action not my favorite benchmade but one of the best!

I have *cough* a few Benchmade knives in the Blue and Black class range. I wasn't particularly interested in the North Fork, but had some gift card money money to spend. When I handled it I was like, wow, this has better action than most of my Black class knives! It checks all the boxes for flippability, size, weight, and balance. I also love the Dymondwood handles, mine has nice variegated grain. My wife, who isn't a great proponent of me collecting knives actually approves of this one!

I own three Benchmade knives and couple competing brands. I keep coming back to the North Fork as my EDC. I like the feel of the wood composite scales, along with the size and shape of this knife. The blade shape (although a tad more difficult to sharpen) works great for everyday tasks as well as skinning. Both the rear and forward jimping have good grip without being overly aggressive. The blade also opens very easily without being overly imposing to anybody that might be paying attention. The knife also has full steel scales while remaining very light and unassuming in your pocket. If I could ask for one improvement it would be a deep pocket carry clip. Although the price is a little steep for a pocket knife Benchmade stands by their products. I lost a screw to this pocket knife and all it took was an email and the screw is in the mail headed my way at no cost to me. That saves me time, money, and effort. Very much appreciated and the reason I decided to leave this comment.

I could wax on and on about the craftsmanship, attention to detail, function, form, design, and commitment to the product life, but all of this packaged together in my hand is much better described by the word "Buttery," and all of it's wonderful connotations. On the wide spectrum from Budget to Buttery, the North Fork falls on the latter.

The classic look drew me to this knife. Really like the stone washed blade and the Axis lock is great. I carry this knife on the weekend and when I go out. My 580 Barrage is my everyday carry and has benn for over eight years. I've been satisfied with the quality Benchmade has provided for the money. Haven't abused the North Fork like the Barrage, but that's not what it's made for. As a designed skinning knife it works great with the jimping and the slight belly. Though the Axis lock makes it a little difficult to clean. It's a classy little knife that won't scare your friends at the dinner table. Most important, it's made right here in the USA. Thanks Benchmade. I look forward to owning more of your quality products.

I have been carrying this for EDC. The aesthetic of the wood scales and satin blade is great for the office. It did need a little bit of edge work out of the box and the pivot needed a little adjustment but those are minor issues. Even though it is in the hunt class I bought it for EDC. When I hunt I always prefer a fixed blade. The recurve was easy to sharpen with my fixed angle sharpener which I was somewhat concerned about but it wasn't an issue. Mine had about a 19 degree bevel and about 22 at the sharpening choil. It now has a nice consistent 19 degree bevel and cuts great.

Ive had this knife for about 3 months now and have put it through very light use. Main uses so far have been: Opening cardboard boxes Trimming small branches off a bonsai tree .10 in thick Opening the plastic packaging The good: Amazing handle material Smooth locking mechanism Opens and closes with a flick right out of the box Size, weight, are perfect for everyday carry The bad: Light use resulted in rolled blade edge. Problem with heat treat or sharpening? Seat belt caught pocket clip and easily bent it out of position. I've had mini grips for years and have never had this happen. There is now a gap between the clip and the handle resulting in the knife falling out of my pocket constantly While this knife does look pretty it has lacked in quality control. Bench made used to use the highest quality materials available to ensure reliable product performance. The issues I've had with light use with this knife are showing me that they're cheapening product to boost profitability. Looked into filing a warranty claim for this, Benchmade wanted $75 to replace the blade as part of the warranty program. I will be returning this to the scheels I bought it from instead. $75 to replace a defective blade within the first 3 months of ownership is silly.

About 3 years ago I realized how much I would use an EDC. After using, and losing, a cheaper knife, I was introduced to Benchmade and the North Fork Folder about 2 years ago. Love the weight and heft. Incredible blade design, and ergonomics. It's in for Lifesharp now and can't wait to get it back. The Bugout I purchased to have/use while North Fork is visiting his maker, while great, is just not the same. Baby come back!

I bought this knife about a year ago. And I fell in love with it right away. It is a great little every day folder. The only thing I would like to change about the knife, is I prefer deep carry. Luckily the support team from Benchmade were willing to help out. And I have been carrying this knife every day since. It is my favorite knife of all time. And I can't recommend it highly enough

This is about the perfect EDC knife for general use. It is a heavy enough blade to use for many different types of cutting. It is light enough to not notice it in your pocket. The scales are really good looking, a composite that looks like real wood. The extra jimping is useful. The blade is a great flat gray color. And the thing is an absolute blast while stuck on a Zoom meeting.

I am incredibly pleased with this knife and it has become my primary EDC knife. The size is really perfect for EDC needs. The wooden composite handles look like real wood and they are very nostalgic in appearance. The action and lock-up are first rate classic Benchmade. The blade is very sharp and alignment is perfect. The liners are excellent and fit/finish just great. The only thing that could make it even better (in my opinion) would be a deep carry clip. Otherwise, the knife is perfect.

This knife changes my mindset, I was carrying a multi-tool foldable knifes. When I started to use pocket clips it provides easy access and speed. Also with the big knife, and strong handling way better than small weird shape multi-tools. These are very different category but I also notice that I don't need this many tools in daily life.

Picked one up yesterday because my last Benchmade Griptillion snagged a rope and jumped out of my pocket somehow. In typical Benchmade fashion it's a quality knife, blade locks open solidly and moves smoothy and while open is very rigid. Handle material feels and looks great. pocket clip is reversible to either side of the knife. no serration so just easier to sharpen. i was going to go with another griptillion but once i handled this knife i had to have it. also its a great pocket size.

First Benchmade. It was a gift from my brother. I didn't have to financial b@115 to make the jump and buy a higher end knife. Glad my brother introduced me. Excellent build quality. Axis lock works great. Smooth opening and closing (some might call it "flippy"). Sharp and uniform blade. Water resistant wood/resin (stabilized wood) scales. Great size for daily carry, but big enough to skin a deer. It's refreshing to hold a knife with wood scales. Friends love it, and you know what, I love it too. In fact, this is my new EDC. My next knife will definitely be another Benchmade. I'm really impressed.

My EDC, love this knife. Extremely sturdy yet not too big to wear to the office. Perfect jimping, full length liner and beautiful aesthetics. The recurved blade adds great leverage w/o serration. No complaints! In my opinion it should be listed in the EDC lineup as well the Hunt Collection.

Great knife. Smaller than I expected, but really sharp and the steel holds a good edge. Very well balanced, and beautiful.

Benchmade 15031 North Fork AxIS Plain Edge Knife comes with Drop-Point Blade and Wood Handle Scales. This excellent CPM-S30V steel drop point blade and Wood scales make this an extremely capable knife. The North Fork folding knife also harnesses the reliable and easy to use AxIS lock. Ambidextrous operation is also seen in the reversible tip-up carry pocket clip. While the North Fork 15031 folder is designed specifically for hunters, it is also an adept everyday carry knife that you'll be proud to have in your pocket.
