This is the second Vector I have purchased, the first via AG Russell. The knife is my safety and security companion when traveling about. I lost the first Vector and hope someone worthy found it. Blade holds a very good edge, the package fits well and responds promptly when required.

This is my fifth Benchmade in my collection and it is impossible to choose my EDC. However, since I got this Vector, it sits next to my keys and wallet for me to grab every time I leave the house. I love the weight/ heavier feel that I get with this knife. I have other knives of a dozen different brands and I don't mean to be cheesy when I say "this stands alone". Blade stays sharp and the action is fluid. Definitely happy with my choice and so far I am yet to be disappointed with my loyalty to Benchmade.

Worst knife ever. Locking mechanism is terrible and doesn't work smoothly at all, and the locking lever gets stuck everytime I open the knife. Also, the custom lettering I got done is much larger in real life than it looked on the site. I basically threw away $400 on this terrible knife. I want to return it, but because I got the blade customized, they only want to refund me $250 out of the nearly $400 I paid for it. I've bought many Benchmade knives, but I really should stop. Their quality control sucks. I purchased a mini auto carbon fiber Adamas over 2 years ago for almost $600, but the auto mechanism broke after 2 months, and it has remained unusable on a shelf ever since. A $600 paperweight. I tried calling customer service, but I waited on hold for so long I just gave up.

Without question the best EDC knife I ever owned. Don't travel to the EU with it, or you won't be coming home with it. Extremely sharp. Fits your hand well. Assisted opening is amazing! And its profile in the pocket with the pocket clip makes it hardly noticeable. Seriously. Without question, absolutely fantastic knife.

Another great knife from Benchmade! Although I cannot own automatic knives, this is almost as good - rapid one hand opening and great quality as always. There are only 2 "flipper" opener options currently, so I highly recommend stocking up!

Well, I'm a big fan of the company - I think the product quality and customer service are amazing. That said, I have had to send every new knife I have purchased back to Benchmade for work on the Axis lock. On this Vector, on a custom Osborne and on a stock Osborne AND on a carbon Osborne, getting the blade to retract has been really frustrating. The Axis lock is just so sticky it feels jammed up - like the lugs around the lock stud are not sliding along the track to smoothly release the blade so I can close the knife. I have had to send them all back the same week I have received them and, each time, Benchmade has done a nice job smoothing the blade release action. I just sent the Vector in for this issue last week and hope that it will be sent back to me working smoothly as it should be.

I bought this for Christmas for my boyfriend as his Zero Tolerance knife was falling apart. He LOVES his new Vector. It's his new daily. He said he likes how it feels, how easy it is to use, and the overall solid weight of it. The only thing is he wished he could find more ways to mod it, as there aren't any companies that offer anything. Particularly he would like a deeper carry clip. But otherwise, this knife is a winner!

Mine was missing the wire on one side of the blade release making it incredibly difficult to close back. I can't see how an issue this major makes it past any quality check

This was a gift for my husband which have plenty of knowledge about knives and this would have been at least his 5th. He loved the blade, and the overall feeling and weight of the knife and really liked the deep pocket option. It is a very well constructed all around knife .

No clue why it took me so long to buy a benchmade knife. Loved it so much i bought a 2nd. The quality is unmatched and the knife holds an edge better then most other knives ive owned.

I really like the fit in my hand and ease of operation. Sometimes I'm tough on an everyday knife because of the many uses but it holds a good edge.

. I personally own double digit Benchmade pocket knives of different versions. I have not been disappointed with any of them and they have far exceeded my expectations. I have also used their life sharp guarantee in their warranty process, which both are exceptional. I can't think of a reason I would buy a different brand pocket knife.

The vector bench made knife 495. I purchased my first one in 22. It's my daily carry just ordered another vector today. That way I'm not without a knife while I send my first one back in for sharpening three years later of daily use and I finally have to send it in to get it sharpened The opening mechanism where you can just use your finger as you pull it out of your pocket to open is the best knife you could get special as I get older and my hands get harder to move. The fingertip. Opening is just awesome best knife you could ever have. The only thing that I would change is being able to customize the vector

Currently my favorite flipper from Benchmade. The blade is sharp, the steel is solid, and the geometry and the milling is gorgeous. IT opens smooth, and makes a satisfying his. Somewhat weighty, which I like, and fits the hand quite well.

Been carrying this knife for a little over a month now and can comfortably say Ill never get another EDC knife. This does everything I need it too and the assist is super smooth. Thing came razor sharp out of the box and has kept its edge through daily use. Benchmade hasnt failed to impress me yet.

Amazing edc. Big knife but carries like a small knife. Have many many BM's but this is the one that ends up going with me 90% of the time. I'm a leftie and appreciate the neutral assisted opening.

Came dull out of the box. Blade not centered, and the pivot collar completely loose. Not sure what the deal is, but Benchmade used to be THE go-to for knives, but the last two new ones I have purchased have been lacking in quality control.

This knife did not come out as sharp as I am used to a Benchmade being out of the box. The screw that holds the pivot collar in was completely loose, and the blade was not centered. I had to play around for several hours to get everyhthing the way it should be, and hopefully it all holds. if not, this brand new knife will be sent back to Benchamde for a tune-up. Already, and if that does not rectify the issue, then I will be looking for a different go-to brand for knives.
