I love this knife. Most days I carry a bugout, because I love how easily it fits into my pocket, but on days when I'm expecting to do heavier work, or will be wearing gloves, it's a bit too dainty. The Griptilian fills the role of beefy folder perfectly. Easy to operate with a moderately heavy glove, or on a cold day when my hands aren't at 100%, and I'm never afraid that it's not going to hold up to whatever I put it through.

I lost mine and bought another to replace it. I carried the previous model as my EDC for about five or six years. Before ordering this new one, I looked at other options but found this to be the best everyday carry. It's sharp, but what stands out is the weight, balance, and durability. The handle has a well-designed grip and feels good in the hand. I like that the metal liners run the full length of the handle scales. Which in my opinion is a good design choice. Some lighter knives achieve their weight savings with thinner handles and partial liners, which can compromise feel and strength. If you're backpacking and counting every gram, those make sense. But for me, the solid feel and balance of this knife make it the best EDC I've used.

This was my first Benchmade as a gift to myself for my first career job. This knife has travel in many work trips, camping trips and for day to day use. It only let me down once when the edge fell apart. I sent it in to Benchmade and they warrantied the blade for defective material. But since then this knife has been amazing a workhorse. Only downside is you cannot baton the knife when trying to split sticks for after making kindling. It never me damaged the knife but it's not sturdy enough for that. My Adamas on the other hand is sturdy enough for that! So make sure you know this is a great daily knife that is a great workhorse in the normal sense. Can't wait to pass this knife down to my son!

First time buying a benchmade product and I definitely don't regret it. The lifetime warranty give you peace of mind with a knife you can carry for the rest of your life. Won't be my last benchmade purchase that's for sure.

I decided to go with Benchmade due to the reputation, warranty, and sharpening service offered. My father also has a Benchmade and has been happy with it for many years. The Griptilian is an excellent choice and I'm ver happy with it so far. It's sharp, sturdy, and lightweight for carrying daily.

There is a reason that the Griptilian has remained a staple of the Benchmade lineup for a long time without changes. It is utilitarian, comfortable in hand, and suitable for a wide variety of tasks. My only criticisms might be that it is a tad thick behind the edge and that Benchmade's aggressive price increases are concerning (but that second one relates more to the brand as a whole).

I've been carrying a stainless steel Griptilian for 10 to 20 years - so long I can't remember life without it. I just bought a black blade Griptilian as a second knife while waiting for Benchmade to sharpen my stainless Griptilian. The black blade is way sharper than my stainless blade ever was. So I've asked Benchmade to install a black blade into my original Griptilian. I love my Griptilians. I feel naked without one.

I have bought and used knives from just about every knife manufacturer. After a few months they either brake or won't keep the edge for very long. The Benchade knife is very well made, has been holding a edge very well so far. I am truly impressed with the quality and workmanship of my knife.

I have only had my knife 1 week. I like the feel of the knife, the weight and the blade action. As expected, it's razor sharp and it is yet to be determined how long it will be before it needs to be sharpened. My typical daily carry knife is used for anything and everything, to include opening boxes, cutting anything that needs to be cut, clean under nails then cut some food. Yes the blade gets cleaned. I will be putting this knife through everything and I hope it is as good as advertised.
