Just picked up my second Osborne 940 carbon (lost my first one ??) It's than a stand-up comic's comeback and lighter than my post-Thanksgiving food coma. This EDC knife is a beast at slicing through Amazon boxes and dressing my wild turkeys like it's auditioning for a cooking show. It's slim enough to vanish in your pocket, sturdy enough to tackle tough cuts without flinching, and so perfectly balanced it feels like an extension of your hand. The carbon fiber handle is grippy, the blade's sleek design screams precision, and the AXIS lock flicks open smoother than a sitcom laugh track. It's sharp enough to make turkey bones quiver and daily tasks a breeze. The price is up there but worth it. For EDC fans who want a knife that's part ninja, part supermodel, this is your guy (gal?) Idk

I've had a bunch of knives. Spyderco, kershaw, Swiss army, leather man, gerber. . nothing comes close to the Osborne 940. I've had a few iterations of the Osborne as well. The anodized aluminum, and the g10 handle version, my original had cm155 steel. The s30v with anodized aluminum is the best. Something about how solid it feels in your hand. It loses that with the g10. This thing is in my pocket unless I'm getting on an airplane. No other knife in this price range comes close with the features and durability. You could argue the sebenza is the better knife but you're paying 3x the price. This is a tool knife. Use it hard and it'll still last.

The 940, whether in aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber, is definitely my favorite Benchmade of all time. It might be my favorite knife of all time. Small enough to be discretely carried (especially with the deep pocket carry clip). Large enough to get any EDC job done. Great blade geometry. Pleasing fidget toy around the campfire or behind the desk.

This is the greatest knife of all time. There's a reason why it's the favorite of so many people. It is flawless. Perfectly profiled and centered. Smooth action. Its aluminum handle has just the right amount of traction and the purple backspacer is the perfect accent. I haven't found anything that it couldn't cut, and cit smoothly. I don't know how I lived so long without it.

This knife goes everywhere with my husband, EVERYWHERE. Which also means he misplaces it a lot. Usually he (mostly I) find(s) it not long afterward. But, unfortunately he's lost two knives never to be found. Most recently to the bottom of Lake Harris. The devastation on his face after losing it this last time was real and raw, so much so that his son (age 10) looked at me immediately and asked how much it would cost to replace it. I told him they are not cheap, but this was only met with "I'll spit it with you. " We both know how much this specific design and color scheme have become a staple for my husband, we both know he uses it for everything and is never worried about the wear and tear because he knows that all he has to do is send it back and Benchmade will make it like new. It was a no brainer to replace it. (And how can you look into the face of a ten year old who wants to help pay for it and tell him no???) We love this knife because it is like an extra appendage to my spouse, but also. . . it's a really great knife.

The 940 is a knife that I've been wanting for a long time and I finally decided to pick it up and I can say everything about this knife is worth the money. The powder coat on the scales feels amazing in the hand. The action is the smoothest I have ever felt The blade is an amazing shape. and it comes razor-sharp out of the box.

Went by the factory store, what great folks in there. Picked up a 940 and 945 for my cattle ranching dayghter and son in law. Had their brand etched right there on the spot. You can watch as high tech machine right out in front. The agent who helped me worked through formats of the brand and nailed it. Happy.
