I own 3 940 Osbornes and they are best knives on the market. Benchmade makes the best knives, has the best customer service and the best warranty program on the planet bar none. Benchmade is leaps and bounds beyond the competition. I do not own any other knives from any other company. I only own Benchmade knives because if you want the best, then you have to buy the best and that is Benchmade.

This Osbourne is amazing. Blade came perfectly centered and the fit and finish is great!!! I would buy another knife from them in a heartbeat. I contacted them for another pocket clip and they got right back to me. I love buying from Benchmade!

Purchased this knife at Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas. Liked the feel of it in my hand. The quality is exceptional. It has great edge retention and is very versatile with pretty much any job I've thrown at it. This has quickly become my favorite EDC knife.

This knife is really light weight and super sharp. It feels perfectly balanced between the blade and the handle, too - I noticed this randomly, and it's a bonus. The size of the Osborne makes it perfect for my every day carry, and it looks beautiful. I'm glad I opted for the carbon fiber handle. I've only had it for a few days, but I expect the stainless steel blade to last a long time after putting it through an rough few uses already during the holiday season (including a cutting a thick, stray branch off of the Christmas tree, cutting through rope outdoors, cutting shipping boxes to fit into the recycling bin). The lifetime warranty and service options are quite impressive. Ultimately, this knife is definitely worth the price - it seems like you really get what you paid for with Benchmade.

This was my first Benchmade product and its miles better than any other knife I've had. Compared to the normal $50ish dollar knifes I've carried in the past I can tell this is going to last forever. The blade is extremely sharp and the blade seems to be extremely hard. The action is super smooth and doesn't seem to get dust or grit in it. I've gotten it really dirty, rinsed it off and it opens like its brand new. The finish on the outside is really durable and the color looks way better in person. Worth it!

I finally bought myself my Osborne and when I was selling them years ago I remember them as very smooth openers, but mine is a little tough. Almost like its been tightened too much. I'm afraid to loosen it up myself. I hope the stiffness wears out with time. Other than that its perfect.

I've owned this knife for 7 years. I bought it when my first daughter was born and it's been with me every day since. I've used it on the construction sight, skinning deer, over the camp fire, getting splinters out and everything in between. I've had it come plenty apart in the dryer a year ago and I sent the knife back in pieces and the warranty department for a small fee, replaced all missing parts and re sharpened the blade for me. I will never carry another knife. I plan to hand this knife down to my son when he's old enough to take care of it.

The Osbourne is a classic design. I own a few of the smaller ones with aluminum scales. This model in carbon fiber is very nice. A perfect balance of size weight and utility. This is a great and somewhat dressy edc blade.

Very satisfied with the blade. Very pleasing action when opening and closing. I was hoping the blade would be as sharp as my Civivis straight out of the box. The blade also wobbles a tiny tiny bit when open. Regardless, I would still choose the 940 nine times out of ten.

I bought this knife in 1989. Yes, 35 plus years ago. It is still my favorite EDC. Still holds a sharp blade, opens and closes today as it did when I bought it. Benchmade quality is the best. I have 4 other Benchmade EDC, and love them all, but the 940 Osborne is still my favorite.
