The ATEM SDI Pro ISO model is part of the ATEM SDI family, a range of live production switchers designed specifically for broadcasters who require extreme portability. These switchers are similar to the ATEM Mini, but with 3G-SDI video connections and double the number of video outputs. Depending on the model, you can have 4 or 8 SDI inputs, all featuring standards converters and re-sync capabilities.
This switcher also includes DVEs for picture-in-picture effects and a USB that functions as a webcam for connecting video to computers. The Pro and Extreme models even feature built-in streaming capabilities. For audio, the Fairlight mixer includes a compressor, limiter, and 6-band parametric EQ on each input, ensuring top-notch audio quality.
The ATEM SDI Pro ISO Live Production Switcher is a self-contained, broadcast-quality switcher with an all-in-one design that includes both a control panel and connections. The front panel features easy-to-use buttons for selecting sources, video effects, and transitions. The rear panel houses SDI connections for cameras, extra microphone inputs, USB for webcam, and multiple SDI "aux" outputs for program video.
With the ability to connect up to 8 broadcast cameras, this switcher lets you create dynamic multi-camera live productions for interviews, advertorials, theater productions, music performances, sports, and more. The ATEM SDI Pro ISO model also allows you to record multiple video streams, including clean feeds of all inputs and program, all at the same time. This feature enables you to edit your live event, adding new color grades, effects, and graphics.
The ATEM SDI Pro ISO Live Production Switcher also supports direct recording of your streaming data to USB flash disks. This means you can have very long recordings in the same H.264 video files with AAC audio that you streamed, allowing for direct upload to any online video site, such as YouTube or Vimeo.
Incorporating a range of built-in video effects, this switcher allows for professional production values. With two independent 3.5mm stereo audio inputs, you can connect desktop and lapel microphones or even a music player. All audio inputs to ATEM SDI include buttons on the panel for adjusting audio level and enabling inputs into the audio mixer.
Each 3G-SDI video input features its own dedicated standards converter, meaning the ATEM SDI will automatically convert 1080p, 1080i, and 720p sources to the switcher video standard. This ensures that setup on location is easy and you don't have to worry about technical problems.
