Best 4K switcher with upstream/downstream keying, accepts any video format on each of its 8 SDI inputs, and drives a tally light system.
Great product. It was not clear from the description if I would always need to have a computer connected to the switcher during production. Now I know I can use a computer to save graphics and macros to the non-volatile storage on the switcher and then run the switcher without a computer during production. Of course, the main advantage of this ATEM over the cheaper ones is the conversion on each video input. It takes some practice to learn all of its features, but it is a truly capable live switcher.

A bit complicated to set-up properly, but it is by far the best of all the other switchers and the price is perfect.

A lot of bang for the buck
Overall, an incredibly versatile switcher with tons of features you don't usually find at this price point. Scaling on every input is huge, and saves having to convert everything before you plug it into the switcher. The panel has wonderfully responsive buttons and works exactly as you would want it to.
The only three complaints I have (and they are relatively minor), is that: 1) there are no HDMI inputs. Two switchable would have been nice, especially since most of us bring in slide decks from computers. 2) There is only 1 DVE keyer. It would also be nice to have at least two of these, but again, this is a very inexpensive switcher for what you get. 3) There is only 1 AUX out. Again, having two or more of these would be very helpful, as there is always something you need to bus signal to. However, there are direct outs on all of the input busses, and that is a very nice touch.
All in all, I am very happy with this switcher. Very robust for a very good price.

Awesome mixer for smaller to medium production
Blackmagic does it again. It improved on the already impressive Television Studio Pro by adding awesome features like 4K, scaling on every input and output, advanced chroma key, and Fairlight audio integrated. An amazing package in a compact form factor. Best available near this price point.
